Apparently Strachan intends to keep to his 4231 system, why? Gibraltar will never cross their half way line more than half a dozen times in the game so why play 2 holding players, surely this is the one game to be more adventurous and play an attacking side. Go for goals tomorrow and entertain the fans as apparently tickets are £45 (for Gibraltar?) typical SFA fleecing the fans, so for that ticket price the fans deserve goals.

WGS will play his normal formation, but maybe with a little bit more freedom to attack. He would be foolish to abandon, what has taken Scotland from International wilderness to been an average International, only to slip back by over ambition .

International Football is only played to give supporters of unsuccssive club teams a break from their toils .

I'm probably not of the majority, but I enjoy Internationals. Apart from the patriot thing I like to see our players getting the opportunity to play against some of the worlds top players. For me it's a winner. The (Celtic and other) players get to measure their progress, they get a chance to meet the 'big time' players, stronger competition (opposition depending a), fans from other clubs get to see players they would never get a chance to see normally. It also gives managers a chance to see potential purchases up against stronger opposition and depending on who is playing, an opportunity to see them alongside his own players. It also does not do any harm to have international caps on a players CV when he wants to discuss transfers, salary etc. and, from the clubs perspective, it raises the bar on sell of prices. On top of that, I feel very proud when I see Broonie and co. Playing well for Scotland. Hail, Hail.

@Rayman I enjoy a punt that is why lol, my bet for Scotland game is a penalty for Scotland, we will be attacking quickly (hopefully) against part time players who may mistime a tackle, odds only 2/1 but hey I am not greedy, also I am going for most goals second half as I think Gibraltar will be stubborn first half then tire late on, I had a laugh at all the "Monday morning quarter backs" that disagreed with my England tips (10 so far) AFTER the match, grow a pair and disagree BEFORE lol, me? betting is not an exact science, you win some, you lose some, so far I have won more than I lost, so much so the chancellor wants my advice on clearing the National Debt ha ha

4-2-3-1 is good formation and scotland has players for it to work. Timalloy have u got any prices for 7 goals or over? Can see 8-0

Betting is not an exact science, is probably the most understatement of the year . Bookies exercise little fair play and honesty in their dealings. There are two winners were bookies are concerned, HMRC and the bookies .
God help the poor punter he doesn't know what he is doing .

@DN30 7-0 is 9/1 and 8-0 is 16/1 but do you really think Scotland will reach these totals, the team is more accustomed NOT to lose goals than score them. @Chris02 ha ha pal you are always such a shining light on here with your cheery posts! we get it you do not like gambling, but if done responsibly and within your budget it gives you a buzz when you outfox the bookies

There are many ways of getting a buzz legally and illegally . However research has shown that the people who gamble the most are those who can afford it the least . The wife or partner who cannot put food on the table, because of her partner's obsession with getting a buzz over beating the bookie probably agrees with me .
I have nothing at all against gambling, but what I do object to is people advertising and trying to broaden its appeal in non gambling forums .

Is this a Celtic Banter Forum or is it a betting odds service . I have nothing against people who bet what they can afford . However I know many fine people who have a betting addiction, these people may like to look at the Celtic Banter Forum without coming across things that because of their addiction they have to avoid .
I know the people here are almost certainly in control of their gambling, butt spare a thought for those who cannot control their addiction . From only been the very odd post a month or so ago, gambling and details of odds have now almost the most posts.
Surely Celtic Banter should not consist of details about betting .

@Chris02 That has to be your worst post yet, you're trying to dictate to posters and the guys that run the site what should be posted.

Will we stop talking about celebrating a win with a few beers in case someone with alcohol problems reads it?

Our very own esteeemd ED007 doesn't drink, for all we know he could have had problems with drink in his past but I doubt he fancies going out for a pint just because Timalloys wife let's him have a few tins of beer when we win the league and he posts it on here (I don't know if she did Tim just an example of what could be a post mate) or I'm on moaning about a hangover

I'd say the people you know are very far from fine if they can't read a football forum for fear of seeing someone talking about gambling.

I'd even go further and say if they're addicted to gambling they aren't fine people.

Do you know any fine people who are addicted to drugs or drink or is it only kid on addictions that attract fine people?

Tell them from me to man up and get their life back in order instead of bleating about how they're addicted to gambling, they're not addicted to anything and they've nobody to blame but themselves.

I've never met anyone who's addicted to gambling and if you know "many fine people who have a betting addiction" I'd suggest you might want to look at your circle of friends.

Alcohol, drugs even tobacco you can be addicted to, gambling money you can't afford or gambling money instead of squaring up the wife and kids isn't an addiction, you're not a gambling addict, you're just a bum. It's just selfishness and there's no physical addiction.

I'll take you to Wishaw Hospital where there's young lads trying to get off smack, middle aged guys trying to dry out off the scoops, there's nobody in a hospital or under medical care for being a gambling addict.

A "gambling addict" is just a fancy way of saying you're a selfish bum who isn't looking after your responsibilties.

Tell your friends to give their wife their bank card - addiction sorted.

None of your friends would resort to crime to feed their "habit", you did say they were fine people.

Addiction makes you desperate, if you're desperate to gamble you're not an addict, you're a mug.

If your wife and kids are missing out because of your gambling you're not an addict, your just a terrible husband and father.

Finally, did you canvas these "fine people" if it made them want to rush out and put a bet on?

If not then how do you know?

I hope there's no sex addicts out there or we'll need to be careful what the voluptous mrs E posts.

How would they handle talking to a woman on a football forum!!

Maybe handle wasn't the right word lol

Tiny Tim You posted about your love of internationals, the oportunity to see view people who Celtic could buy . I watched the Scottish and the ROI matches and I must say I wasn't over entertained . Nobody on the Scottish stood out and demonstrated skills or ability we hadn't seen before . Nobody on the Gibalter team stood out, or maybe the problem is that they really just stood .
The ROI match was a dire first half hour ireland seemed to spend that time trying to get to know each other and the system they could not play . The Poles scored and half the crowd erupted and even more flares from our poor Poles went off.
Ireland stirring defeat and non qualification rolled up their sleeves and.raised their tempo with Walters going up front to play with a totally out of touch Keane .
The poles, proved champion divers and the Swedish referee could transfer to Scotland and he would fit in with their ineptness. Again I don't think we saw anyone who would set us alike should we sign any . The Scottish Compliance Office would have to take on more players if many of the Ploles signed.
MaCarthy I am sorry to say, doesn't do it for Ireland . Maybe his youthful decision is coming to annoy him . He just doesn't do enough, I would expect him to win the ball pass it and. Look for the ball again he doesn't .
Not a great evening's entertainment but we move on and look forward until Friday night and Celtic again.

As Celtic are a PLC their shares are traded on the stock exchange so it should be easy to buy shares.

Have a read at this: http://www.moneysupermarket.com/shares/how-to-buy-shares/

As a nipper I remember some of my old mans mates and other estranged pals of pals telling me "eye son we have got you shares in celtic, its a big thing son and here is a wee fiver as well" . Great nights with loads of guitars and adults being daft ;) (half cut). Called the charlatans on it a few years back at a big family get together asking "so where is my place on the board? Answered only with a roar of laughter from thier own repeat patter they hadn't heard in 15 years " It apparently was a running joke with them for years with myself and my two younger brothers - with the fiver cushioner :)
The amount of times I told my primary school mates I was a big shareholder. Still makes me smile thinking about it.

That's the brokers I use to purchase any shares

Be careful of buying shares through these supermarket schemes . They charge an open fortune . Some bank branches have brokers who can trade in Celtic shares with a lot smaller charges .
