Just a wee word on big Ajer. I think the boy is going to be a cracking player very composed and will benefit having a class CH beside him but at Easter road last week he made some good breaks from defence up the park but second half far too often he lost the ball and put us in trouble. All part of the learning curve but the big fella needs to know when to go and when to be sensible. The cry of " Right Dedryck I'm off on a run you hold the fort gives me the jitters". Having said all that big Bobo on the charge was epic. Didn't stop till he reached Bridgeton cross 🍀.

agree Patdabhoy. Reminds me of Van Dyke when he bursts out from back up to half way with two big strides, he`s just not mastered it yet, done it a few times in semi, only to turn ball back to Broonie who had dropped back as cover.

Patdabhoy How often did Ager lose the ball whilst on charges up the field and how often did he put Celtic under pressure .
Did we concede any goals as a result of a charge up the pitch.

Lost a couple in the second half that put us on the back foot and no we never lost a goal directly from him losing the ball. read my post again old man im praising the boy just needs to play with the head at times. Lose the ball like that in Europe your punished.

He won't do those runs in Europe. It's a gap in our central skill set. We didn't get punished when he tried it before and I wouldn't discourage it. How many times this season have we watched left to right and backwards passing? I'd say let him do it and improve at it because we don't have anyone that runs with the ball through the middle apart from SA.

Being older he reminds me of a young Alan Hansen, and I don't think I can pay him a bigger compliment.
Agree, a mature CH right next to him and he could be world class.

He will play many a game before he is fortunate enough to play with as class and as dominant as yesterday with Boyata . Boyata was suberb yesterday and showed fully just how good he is . We will be exceptionally lucky if Brendan can persuade him to sign new contract.
Ajer is only young, if he doesn't make foreward runs against diddy wee teams like Hibs and Rangers 2012, how will he know whether he can do them against European clubs, but more important he has one of the best Uk manager B R to advise nim how and when to carry foreward and when to pass . He is only learning and we can trust Brendan.
