TV reporting today that we are after St. Juste, is this is true I'd be more than happy with him as a signing. Seems like a solid player, could be our next van dijk. I hope so anyway. Anyone heard word of Duffy/ Sinclair?

He's meant to be a really good player. He's only 5ft 11; next to Sviatchenko might leave us lacking height.

Height doesn't really come into it. Timing of the jump and Spring can get someone in a better position than a tall guy. Eric's good in the air and he's not 6 ft and Larsson wasn't the tallest and he was excellent at winning headers so don't read into height too much unless he's the same height as Giovinco 5ft odds.

Would still prefer big dominant CB who can play as well Jozo fits bill but he needs to get fit and compete with other CB s.

Cannavaro and puyol I think may be slightly above what we're looking at. Sviatchenko struggles at times. I'm not saying I don't want the guy, just would like someone you always knew would win the ball.

St Juste is apparently very strong in the air, good awareness at the back and handy going forward. Sounds like a VVD mark 2.

I'd prefer a varga. Guy was massive and could pass a ball as good as anyone.

Man u were reportedly looking at him last year, do we see something that they didn't, although, he is still very young and maybe could be developed into a top player, and they might have been looking for a more finished article, thing is if we get him and he makes a few costly mistakes we have to remember he he is just a young guy, and let's not be too hard on him.

One of the best centre halfs in the buisness played for Aberdeen he was 5ft 10 in tall quick strong and kept a few better technically guifted players out of the Scotland team.
Mainly because he had a hardness about him that not many players have today we had a player a couple of seasons ago who resembled him not VVD who was and is top class but get him in.

sure if we had Ajer playing midfield, a couple of players could give him a wee lift and he could clear any high dead ball situation.
