Right now that the draw is made let's see if we can buy Paddy Roberts. I really couldn't care less about our relations with Manchester City we have to look after ourselves and Paddy has to play against them regardless. We have to play our best 11 just like they do.

Exactly Ed, They sent him on loan to get this experience. Paddy will be desperate to play against them.

Personally Ed, If the roles were reversed we would want to nullify any threat at this level. Imagine he is the difference in an important point being dropped as he is the creative type the Man City fans would go mental!
It will all come down to where the fixtures fall in the group and no clarity will be given until points amassed IMO
Only other option is a purchase now I cannot see that either
I think PR will excuse himself on the grounds he cannot win and the club will need to respect that as disappointing as that is (y)

And if Roberts wimps out and isn't up for playing against City we should just send him back down there just now. It would show him up as very weak minded if he asked not to play in what could be the two biggest games of his career just in case he upset the City fans - he should be champing at the bit for these games and aiming to show City exactly what he can do at the top level. Would Guardiola be interested in a player that doesn't have the bottle for a big occasion?

Fair enough Ed won't fall out over it but I would want us to gain every advantage we could if the roles were reversed with Barcelona a shoe in for first, Second place will be tight IMO how could he possibly go back to City if he is the difference between an important point?
IMO Bangura got his contract ripped up for doing the same against us although he was mince we went ballistic at him playing against with SB and Ledley saying he would not be welcome back! (Y)
