I tried to make a joke of us signing him last year and I was nearly chased out of the Country . However he is a perfect rumour for them, he is the lowest of the low and his name is bound to sell thousands of tickets to those type of people .

It's also worth remembering that when his name was touted in this board a year or so ago, 99% thought he was past it and/ or not worth the hassle/ wages.
A year on, and now looking to be a Rangers player, we shouldn't rewrite history and make him more than he is.
Fact is they've (nearly) signed two free transfers. Two transfers who may turn out to be good players for them, but two transfers most on here would scoff at had we signed them. Some perspective is needed.

If we signed players just now, with no manager that would prove JP identifies signings and this will make PL look bad. His image is already in tatters, he will be trying hardest not to make it worse.

It looks to me as if they are desperate to sign somebody/ anybody that people have actually heard of. No doubt that they will try and spin it that this shows they are in the big league and that Celtic should be quaking in their boots.
If Joey Barton is the best they can come up with, then I don't think that Celtic have too much to be concerned with next season.

Stan would you like us to start signin players without a manager in place? They need to build a Premiership winning team, we already have one! And with a gaffer getting half as much out of the current squad as he should and 3 or 4 decent signings we'll take the crown again.

He will fight right in, has all the attributes to be "wan of the peepul" etc etc, he's a dreg, and pretty naff at football as well. so far they have 2 guys from accrington or somewhere, a boy fae liverpool whose attitude stinks, hence klopp letting him go, and joey barton, if that is what they are getting then let them get on with it, and there was me thinking dave was going to splash the cash, oh wait, he has none !

Kevbhoy i really don't care my point was the zombies have signed 2 players on pre contracts and have now singed a player liverpool wanted to keep, add to the barton etc. Without this 4 they took us to the cleaners let's not forget this. This 4 plus the 3 or 4 that were injured or cuptied. We are dung. We need a different way of doing things, if PL is still with us come end of July the zombies will embarrass him and make it one in a row. I would love to get my season tickets back but ain't going to buy them when this tool is running our club into the ground. Interviews to the sun - what a scumbag of a man. "They took us to the cleaners"? They might have passed the ball better than us and had more possession but we carved out enough clear cut chances to win that game two times over.
As for your comment about all the world beaters who didn't play in the last game plus the superstars joining them you should ask yourself, seriously, if you would take any of them in our squad.
Let's get the new manager settled in, move on some of the dead wood and let him sign a few of his own players before we all decide to jump off the Forth Road Bridge at the prospect of facing the mighty Sevco.

I don't recall saying they are a wonder team what i did day was they beat us with quite a few players missing and they have already added to their squad while our glorious Peter is organising face painting. Now remove the hook and away get your face done for the game.
