Here's a question for everybody . I've had my season ticket nearly 20 years now and I think in those 20 years we have had 3 seasons when we've won nothing. Bizarely probably one of my favourite seasons was 2002-03 which was one of the seasons we won nothing. Is there anyone who thinks this season for instance was more enjoyable than 02-03 because we won something. Genuine question I personally preferred 02-03.

2002/ 3 was a great season for quality football . For me the highlight was beating Liverpool in there own back yard . Big Hartson, s screamer that night is now part of our great European history. Or who can forget that flick from the King Of Kings away to Boavista to send us into the Final, memories that will last a lifetime with every Celtic fan that was part of that historical season, yes we won nothing but what a journey it was. This season will go down in history as the worst football we have ever played, and the embarrassment of struggling against a Junior team, so give me 2003/ 3 any year. Hail Hail.

I loved the 02-03 season, and can see why it would be preferred over other. That said, it's like saying do you prefer a 0-0 draw with Partick Thistle, when it wins you the title, or a 2-1 victory over Barcelona that (ultimately) means nothing. They aren't that comparable.
As a Celtic fan, I don't think I've ever felt as low as Fir Park on Helicopter Sunday but that was (in relative terms) an exciting season. Would I trade that season for this? Absolutely. Again though, they aren't wholly comparable.
I'm 31, and I grew up during the Rangers 9 in a row years. The first trophy I saw us win was the 95 Scottish Cup. I loved it. I cherished it. It meant something to me. When we stopped the ten, it was one of the best days of my life. From then on, I feel blessed anytime Celtic win something - simply because I know what it's like when we don't. I didn't grow up seeing us win things, so when we do it's appreciated. Like I say, cherished.
Even through the Tommy Burns years, as exciting as it was -- and with some of those players, and football, it really was -- I'd give it all up for us to have stopped their nine.

97/ 98 for me. To stop 10 in a row and the feeling when bratbakk scored. Oft. I would have been 7 or 8 when we won the league before that. Insane year.

2003 had so many classic games, We had a fantastic team one that on its day could in my opinion have beaten any team in Europe. Seems like a long long time ago.

Sorry kev picked u up wrong bud. for me u can't even compare what we watched in 02/ 03 to what we're watching now! It's like night and day! That team had so many massive characters and quality right through it. lennon petrov hartson Sutton thomo and king henrik! I could go on but u get the drift! There's not many in the team now that I watch and say we would miss him if he were to leave. really is changed days.

DN stop posting pish. Season 13-14 pumped out of League cup by lower league opposition, pumped out of Scottish cup by premier opposition, won SPL by 29 points, qualified for CL won 3 points. ..Season 15-16 pumped out of League cup by premier opposition, pumped out of Scottish cup by lower league opposition, won SPL by probably 10 points, failed to qualify for CL , dropped into Europa league won 3 points. And because of your hatred of Neil Lennon you claim his last season was the worst season in a long time. For you to have such hatred and to mock one of our former captains disgusts me .

Am I not allowed to post now? You asked a question i answered. Well at least my hatred is directed at a troublemaker who thinks its okay to threaten to slash women. You obviously think this is acceptable behaviour. You also think its okay to humilate Ambrose by suggesting he play up front, out of position, already lacking in confidence, just for your sick sense of humour.
So if you want to try and get on the moral high ground with me, have a right good look at yourself. You are a disgrace, i'm embarrassed at my club having supporters like yourself.

We usually start every season with at least a modicum of optimism that we will win at least one trophy . This season just past we expected to win the domestic treble . As the long nights draws in in October and November we often re - access where we are standing and what we will win . This season past the domestic treble was still yearned for and still a reasonable expectation . To finish with only the SPL, is certainly disappointed and heads have rolled from the managerial staff and we expect players to follow .
2002/ 3 was an even bigger disappointment . At the start of the season we felt we had a big strong, fit and capable squad capable of winning everything we entered especially domestically . In October our team were in good stride, taking every game as it came and winning most . unbelievablly despite playing exceptionally well in UEFA Cup Final we were suddenly facing a blank season . One of our best teams ever, with nothing to show for it, that surely was a tragedy, will we ever be able to build a team to match our 2002/ 3 team, not in my life time . Yet we won nothing .
