The Player is not at fault here but the management or the person who is responsible time after time for insisting on playing him.
Not only did he play him tonight but he blamed him for his own pompous short sightless and tunnel vision approach to management.
I've been to away games mid week to places like Kilmarnock on cold winter nights when celtic were under the stewardship of such wonders as John Barnes and what was on offer then could never have prepared me for what we have in charge now.

You're just playing blind ignorant now with your stabs. But top marks for persistence.

We were doing absolutely fine and the better side the first half until Ambrose struck. Then they get a goal from a set piece which gave them a huge lift. For the final third though I thought we were on top again.

Being the oracle you are though which defence would you have played? Baring in mind you can't pick Simunovic, Mulgrew, O'Connell or Izzy.

Being the Oracle I am, O Connell would never have been farmed out.
And Kayal would still be about

Gordon only just
Janko Lustig Boyata/OConnell Tierney
Biton
Brown Rogic
Commons
Griffiths Stokes

Effe would be an able replacement for an Injured Biton

TTTS what are u on pal! Yeh I'll give u Ronnie has to take the blame for constantly picking this half wit! But the it's not the players fault! Utter garbage! We were in cruise control until that sorry exuse for a player stepped up once again and gifted yet another goal! And if that wasn't bad enough he stands there like a Fuckn statue to let the big striker score there 2nd!! Not the players fault! Behave urself! This guy should have been hounded long ago! Don't even put him in the 1st team squad! And get him to in January! If Ronnie keeps playing this guy and these results keep happening then he can go with him!! Enoughs enough!

DH, who insists on playing Effe? It's not Effe that picks the team.Time after time he is selected and don't say RD isn't aware of Effes trends, if he isn't he's a lot worse than I ever though he could be.

I agree with TTTS. It's RD who picks the team, not efe. I feel a bit sorry for the big man because he was having a good game up to then. After that the mistake was obviously playing on his mind. What I'm sick to death of is losing goals from corners! Every time we concede a corner I fear the worst. Get big Sutton back!

{Ed007's Note - So who should have played in there beside Boyata?}

02 Oct 2015 10:40:29
TTTS I've said Ronnie needs to be held accountable for playin this guy! But u said the player isn't to blame! Utter pish! Then u say he would be an able replacement for biton Hahahaha! I can't even say anymore after that statement! U keep living on fantasy land mate!

There is a lack of options ed unfortunately. Like a few posters have already said, maybe lustig there with efe at rb. It's just pretty disappointing the way the squad looks at the moment

{Ed007's Note - With Simunovic and Mulgrew injured there was only really Abrose left and if RD had played Lustig in the middle and we didn't win the usual people would be on here slating RD for playing him in the middle when Ambrose has been doing well in recent matches.
We drew 2-2 with a team who spent 50 million Euros in the summer and who is paying players 60k + a week and we drew 2-2 with Ajax - a club people regularly cite as the model we should be following - in Amsterdam, both games we were very unlucky to lose after dominating for long spells.
After the Malmo match, if someone had offered me our EL group I'd have been worried, and if they had offered me a start of a draw away to Ajax and a draw against Fenerbahce I'd have snapped it up.}

Get a grip give the team some credit we are better than the Barnes era and the Mowbray! RD has to take some blame bit at least he was open about Efe being partial to the odd calamity but he doesn't have the resources to play anyone else. Blackett at CB would've been too much of a gamble with Tierney at LB. I actually thought Ambrose had a good game up until that point and has been for the past few games its just we don't get away with mistakes in Europe as we do in the Premiership

02 Oct 2015 13:09:11
Can't disagree with any of that Ed. I'd actually forgotten all about Mulgrew so thanks for that! While I'd have probably taken those results before a ball was kicked, it does feel more like 4 points dropped. How do we address defending at corners and set pieces?

{Ed007's Note - I'm hoping things will improve when Simunovic is fit and him and Boyata, who is starting to settle in and look more comfortable, will form a reliable partnership for us.}

I think RD was hoping Boyata and Ambrose's mistakes would cancel each other out!

At times last night we played very very well , but because of one terrible blunder and then after five or so playing minutes later very poor defending from a corner gave them the upper hand and confidence for a further twenty minutes . At that time I thought we were in for a hiding .
However Celtic fought their way back into the game by playing great football and could easily have won . I think I saw some of our best football for years last night in both halves . We were badly let down by Efe's blunder and our non defending from corners . Surely we can over come theses situation
Don't play Efe and work further on defending corners .
A few weeks ago we couldn't get a goal from an attacking corner but now we are .
