Weʼre raising money to buy toys for Hamilton Foodbank to distribute at Christmas to those that need their help.

Usually us Ed's do a collection across all the sites for a chosen charity in the run up to Christmas, with Cancer Research and Alder Hey Children's Hospital being a couple of the places that we - and more importantly, you - previously donated too.
I originally intended just asking the lads on the Celtic page for help with this but when I asked Ed001 and Ed033's permission to do it, I'm delighted that they decided to adopt it as the cross sites charity this year.

The appeal will run until Monday December 11th (8 weeks) which should give the women time to buy the toys and the Foodbank people time to distribute them AND that means there's no rush for you to donate right now.

And if for whatever reason you can't donate anything, don't worry about it, there's no obligation or pressure just because you use the sites.

Please have a read HERE and if you can donate anything at all it would be really appreciated or if you have any questions just ask away.

There's also a pinned link to the donating page at the top of the pages.

Thanks for reading and hopefully we can make even a wee bit of a difference to a lot of kids this Christmas.

P.S. There's that Timalloy wanting to be centre of attention AGAIN and has to be in their first AGAIN. Tim made our very generous first donation. Cheers Tim.

Cracking cause, I get paid next week so will make a donation.

Ive always kept in mind those less fortunate, especially around the festive season.

To think of anyone on their own or in hard times is difficult for me.

Reinforces just how fortunate we are 💚.

{Ed007's Note - I promise you mate that every single penny will buy toys for the foodbank women to give out to children from all backgrounds in the Hamilton area.}

Great cause and a fantastic gesture Eds, if you could keep reposting it till next week i will make donations.

{Ed001's Note - the link should be at the top of every page now for donations, as we have decided to make it our Xmas charity this year.}

Eds have you thought about getting posters to donate toys that their kids don't play with anymore? I usually give them to my sons school but there is plenty to go around, im sure fellow posters with kids will agree.

{Ed007's Note - Getting people to donate new or nearly new toys was the original idea and is also happening mate, but I couldn't ask folk over the internet to bring the toys to Hamilton so I thought the next best thing was collecting money and buying toys with that.
If you do have unwanted toys contact your local foodbank or even your local Priest/Minister who will point you in the right direction.
And thank you, Union Jack, for your donation - it's much appreciated.}

@ed007 - great cause and as its based in Gods Country ( South Lanarkshire ) I couldn't not donate - I just wish it could have been more.
Sometimes we all need to take a step back and realise how fortunate we are in life, especially at Xmas time.
