Neil Lennon is set to make a bid for Basel's left-sided midfielder, Valentin Stocker. It is believed that the Swiss outfit are looking for around £2.5m for the player.

Stocker and salat were stickouts for Basel in the Europa league against spurs and Chelsea, 2.5m sounds on the cheap side for this guy unless his contracts running down maybe? Scarrionne is moving to a turkish club. stocker would be much more expensive.

Norwich will come back in for Gary Hooper after agreeing to sell Grant Holt to Wigan.
I think there will be a couple of late bids and PL will bite their hand off at anything around 5 mill
£7m. not a penny less with a year left on his contract.
A year on his contract means a buyers market. 7 mil will be who blinks first territory.
How can somebody come out and say hoopers leaving and if he isny leaving well just sign a deal and put this rubbish tae bed a mean it silly teams that's chasing him its money or medals way chance of caps!!
He's staying this season, I'm sure of it now! I think him and his agent realise the clubs coming in for him are not who he wants, they want an Everton, Newcastle or higher. If he plays his last year out he will get bigger clubs in for him as he's free. Maybe even someone like Liverpool who don't have fortunes to spend. i'm happy to let him leave at the end of the season for free. He cost 2.2 million and has been worth every single penny of that. He could be the difference between us making the CL and not.
I know transfers can be a bit of a game between clubs, players and their agents and it's all about money at the end of the day but I wish he'd go or come out and say he's staying. I'm getting a bit fed up with all the "will he, won't he" stuff.

If a big club wanted him they'd buy him. They aren't sitting biting their nails in the hope they'll get him on a pre-contract in January.
Money is not the issue here. They clearly don't think he's good enough to replace the players they already have and that appears to be putting his nose out of joint.
If it were up to me I'd be saying, "Gary, me old china, we think yer a grand lad and all that but it's time to make your mind up. Either shape up. or ship out."

I agree with ChrisBhoy; There seems to be no interest from a top ten EPL club and that is the only way Hooper would have a sniff at European football next season out-with us.
The club have been too patient with him and NL has been far too accommodating to a player who will not commit, when there are others like Stokes and Watt that love Celtic.
