So tv are reporting that Southampton are hoping to sign a keeper, a defender and a striker, well a take that as a positive NO WAY! could we sell FF, VVD, BEFORE away leg of CL, there would be just too big an outcry! atb JB

Heard a rumour that they were offering £19m for both FF & VVD. Suppose to be completed after next wednesday.

Southampton must be well on their way to balancing their books (sigh) especially if they are looking to take FF and VD with a likely BS 15m+ add-ons deal. Contact and some sort of outline of a deal must of been made for these continual links to keep reappearing and let’s face it I don’t see Celtic playing hard ball even with a club that we know have cash to burn and are over a barrel needing replacements. I think they both will be gone before the end of the qualifiers. Other clubs looking to do something in Europe don’t seem to adopt this pi$$ about strategy of “wait and see” then end up getting f all, bottom feeding on transfer scraps by late August. Chuck Efe and stokes(not too bothered by the latter if replaced) into the mix added to Sammy, Watt and last year’s first team exits into the potential end overhaul with only Johansen brought in of any real quality IMO, its grim so far. Commons IF resigned will be dubbed as a new signing ha. ”Wait and see”… That used to be something my ma said to me when I was a wean when I would chance my arm asking for something she knew fine well I wasn’t getting.

I used to feel sorry for the wee clubs that couldn't resist the smell of money when big clubs like Celtic plundered their players.
Now we are the wee club losing out to the likes of Southampton, Norwich and Swansea.

JJ these wee clubs get £70-£80 Million depending where they finish in the EPL. They may be wee clubs in terms of history but they hold a lot of clout when they talk about wages and transfer targets. The struggle goes on, c'mon the Tic, in Ronny, we should all trust. Hail Hail

Looks like a talented creative midfielder hope it's not just smoke and mirrors though!

Were linked with this lad a few month back. Gaz, if we did sign him, you see what I'm saying about the quantity over quality? No need to be bringing in Berget AND this kid. Grab a hand full and hope one turns out to be a gem. It's like a tombola the way we sign attackers.

Hopefully around about 1.5m

Had a look at this boy Louis and berget they both lol like what we need in different areas berget looks like a hooper type striker if he is then it'll be some signing and Louis if we can get him looks like a steal at 1.5 million he looks like he can see a through ball and score so let's get this done.

Have been reading that Fenerbahce are looking to sign Nadir Ciftci from Dundee Utd for £800,000. If this is true I think he would be a snip for that amount of money. Very good link up player, great touch, and can certainly score goals as he proved last season. He also leads the front line well. Maybe didn't get the recognition he deserved due to the emergence of the young Scottish talent at Tannadice but for me he was the most influential player they had last season. Any thoughts fellow Tims?

Here we go, Larsson didn't cost much bla bla bla. I bet you a BJ Ciftci or Watt have a fraction of the career Henrik did. We got lucky with those two. Just as we're hoping to get lucky with most players we're bringing in.

Watt went for £1.2 m because 5 managers in a row had a problem with him . Good work to get any money for him .
