Use our rumours form to send us celtic transfer rumours.

I hate International week/2weeks for all the usual reasons. As well as interrupting the fine run Celtic are on it leaves a big hole in normal, everyday football life. Looking forward to The Hoops game, talking points and post mortems and keeping us involved in our team.
Now I see some rumours appearing about Hooper and whether it's mischief making or dredging up an old 'chestnut' just to ignite speculation?
It was thought that he did want a move pre-season, however he seems totally committed to the team at the moment - keeping us entertained and competing on all fronts with goals galore and enjoying every minute. His work-rate is very evident, therefore
I would ignore any 'talk' in SEPT/OCT as there are plenty of games until the 'window' opens.
Then and only then if there is anything to tell, I am sure our manager will inform us in his usual forthright manner of any issues/developements.

i would like all celtic fans 2 apply 4 shares in newco it costs them 3 pounds 4 every 1 they send out if 10000 apply it will cost them 30000 lol hh

Believable12 Unbelievable9

Why? Why just not live and let live. There in the 3rd div Ffs. They've got to live with the stigma there club imploded and died. Why not just let them get on with it and we concentrate on supporting celtic.

Catch yourself on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont want to b assosiated with them in any way

Agree1 Disagree0

Have you got short memories I remembers the years of abuse we took from these idiots when celtic had to rebuild , I wouldn't get involved in the share thing but I for one will lord it over them and the establishment to let them know how far we have come and as Ray Winstone once said " whose the daddy now".

Agree1 Disagree0

I will defo be applying for them if this is the case and i will be telling all my friends to do the same thanks for the info. Would they do it to us? I think they would jump at the chance to put the boot in the old saying goes strike while the irons hot

Agree0 Disagree0

There are a certain group of well known Hoops fans who are waiting to snap up this chance to own The Rangers and keep them down, It has all been a plan thought up 20 years ago by Willie Haughey and some cohorts, McCann and Weisfield didn't want any part of it, Peter Lawwell jumped at the chance to bury Rangers, to do it twice was too sweet to refuse. Just wait and see who The Rangers shareholders are, cousins and nephews to run the club as as 2/3rd division club. Peter Lawell will be a hero amongst men when the dust settles in this one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Willie haughy member him that put 2million towards the leagues cup that ranger won? A stay in gorbals and no for a fact he wouldnt get involved in buying rangers shares

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy only said a bit of banter some people need to loose the aggression get your self a burd and loose the stress

This sounds very petty I for one will not stoop to that level, especially when most zombies I speak to dont trust glinty and wont be investing

Just reading through all the Hooper gossip and regardless of what truth is in it or wether he's here or not come January or next summer i'll leave to the other posts. My response here is to all the poster saying sell him for 6 - 8 million (or whatever the figure) and but 2 top strikers. I and i think deep down the rest of us know that wont happen. Sold McGeady for 10 million (spent a fraction - yes i am well aware we did get some cracking players for that fraction)sold Ki for in excess of 6 million, spent none of it.

My point is if we sell him for 6 million don't expect 2 strikers for 3 million it's not going to happen. We'd probably spend 2 million tops on a straight replacement and that might not give the goals Hooper gets.

Just remember bhoys the name on the front of the top is always bigger than the name on the back of it I love Hooper but if he wants to go **** him let him go messi isn't any where near as big as Glasgow Celtic!

Believable10 Unbelievable3

I love hooper for Celtic but I was just thinking the same myself,if he wants to go bye bye ,He will never play for a club like this ever...

Agree0 Disagree0

Why can't it be good luck to him? If he's ambitious then he'll be away to the epl. Celtic is a buy young try to develope and make a profit on them club

Agree0 Disagree0

Good luck to him. we've got to sell when we can get the most money. Unfortunately it's going to be that way with every player we have, they will have to be sold when they're at their best.

Agree0 Disagree0

Id like to see him hit a 100 goals then go, at least hopefully hell stay until the end of the year

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think players realise just what it means to be at a club of our stature until they've gone. Liverpool may be playing in EPL but would Hooper get the same adulation or exposure & importantly CL there? Sounds crazy but he just becomes another squad player under gerrard, suarez. Flip side, he's quality and could progress further - I'm just biased and want him here - give him £25-30k. Stevo Dundee

Just heard a wee snip that Hoops is after 40k per week as his agent claims thats what he will get in the Prem. Seems Lenny is raging as Hooper agreed on the 25k top wage at Celtic and there is pretty much no chance of them making up.ED; you got a snip?...........green jhedi {Ed007's Note - I said months ago GJ, Hooper wanted out in the summer and nobody would pay the fee. His contract 'talks' have been going on since December last year supposedly when his agent stopped them and started hawking him around England.}

Believable13 Unbelievable1

I honestly couldnt care less if he goes as long as we get upwards of 6.5 million for him.

40k a week if true is a joke. He isnt worth it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good goalscoring record but the moment someone wants 40k a week playing in the spl its time to sell im sure lenny knows what hes doing hail hail

Agree0 Disagree0

Be prepared for 'oops to 'lose form' and have a couple of wee niggling 'injuries' until he gets his wish of 40 bags of sand a week or a move to the epl.

Either way, he is vastly overrated!!

Agree0 Disagree1

Listen you are all working off hear'say on here. The figures you are banding about are ridiculous. Talks have not 'broken down'. They have stalled. If you stall the car, you start it up again. Talks are planned to sort it out. His new contract is not to keep him, but to increase the fee in the summer and also bump up his wages when he moves. A compromise will be met. Iv said all along this is what is happening and it LL. Ed, you continue to say no one met his value. Incorrect. 1 team did, Celtic and hoops said no. He wanted to cause his stalk and he has. Now he can get a better move. This is fact. {Ed007's Note - Oh you said fact at the end, must be true then. He has been ready to sign this contract for months, why is is still sitting since last year (December) unsigned? Because he refused the terms and CFC will have had to come up with a better offer. According to you talks haven't broken down, they have stalled, talks are planned to sort it out but the contract is only to get him, and the club, more money the last part I just cant' understand, not really many facts in their seems more like wishful thinking.

Agree0 Disagree1

Simple. he remains on his contract as it is say, 10k. a club comes in for him and says, we will double your salary. he doesn't have much bargaining in a 100% rise. however, if say he signs the proposed 20k now, when a club comes in, the obviously have to offer at least 50% increase = 30k. explained well enough? ed, i don't know your source but im sure its not my source. otherwise he is lying to one of us. but il trust mine. everything iv posted on here has been fact and has turned out to be the case. sorry if you don't like that. {ed007's note - You said he would sign a new contract during the summer window, it's October now. You can trust and like whomever you want, I'll stick to acting like an adult and not disliking people just for having a different opinion than mine.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hooper is a good player but he is not in the 40k a week bracket. I have no doubt that some English club will pay him that but we shouldn't. If he wants to stay great, if not then he has to go for the right price. I like Hooper but he would do well to remember that Celtic have taken him from the obscurity of the lower leagues and gave him a chance to ply his trade on the top stage. Out of the 35 players on international duty this week from the club he wasn't one of them. 40k for a player not even close to being an international is a bit much in my opinion. He deserves a new contract but not at this price.

Agree0 Disagree0

No ed I said he will sign a new contract. There have been stumbling blocks. Yes. Disagreements. Yes. But he will sign again. He will leave un summer. Listen Gary is the only player I post on here about and defend. That should tell you something. I hear stuff that's fact about several players that get mentioned on here but I don't post on about other players. Iv also said previous I respect everyones opinion so don't know where you get that part from.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who met gary hoopers value andhe suppoesdly rejcted?
