Let's play the Blame Game
Peter Lawwell ABSOLUTELY to blame.
When he sticks to sponsorship negotiations he is top class.
When he gets involved in the football side (ala HE appointed Delia) he is useless.
But important factor, it is NOT in Lawwell's interest to spend money, he gets a £1m annual bonus as long as Celtic have a decent bank balance.
But Peter, YOU have just cost Celtic circa £30m I hope they dock your bonus.
Lee Congleton WHO? I hear you ask, an anonymous man, who is a pal of Rodgers. Head of Recruitment, what fekin recruitment? The Sunderland fans were dancing in the street when he came to Celtic, says it all.
Dermot Desmond. Yes our main shareholder, a billionaire but as tight as drum. He has given Lawwell too much power on the transfer side of things and the club is paying the price.
John Kennedy. By all accounts a thoroughly nice guy, and he has gained lots of sympathy for his career ending injury, but he is NOT A GOOD DEFENSIVE COACH, since he got that role our defence has been abysmal. Keep him at the club, but NOT as a coach.
Brendan Rodgers. Yes SAINT BRENDAN, he picks the team out on the park and must see the what we the fans see, that Lustig sadly does not have the legs anymore to play right back, Simonovic a donkey with not talent. I feel sorry for young Hendry he should be at right back. Boyata, a snake in the grass, who now thinks he is better than what he is. Get rid. Hayes, not Celtic class. Commper a fekin JOKE. Kouassi, again not Celtic class.
I could go on but you get the picture, there are so many people to blame but it is time for the Lawwell and the board to back Rodgers with decent signings, and for Rodgers to get back to what he is good at Coaching, and leave the other stuff to more qualified people.

Should defenders really need a coach to show them how to defend properly? You never hear of a midfield coach.
I’m afraid I can’t see us ever having a solid defence under Rodgers. However I’d start with buying a good goalkeeper, that would definitely help.

Tim John Kennedy isn't a defensive coach
He is just a coach.
He works to the program the head coach sets out just like everyone else.

Unfortunately, John Kennedy is not a 'defensive coach' and having his career cut so short denied him many years of experience that a coach could probably draw on. Anyway; this Congerton guy seems an even bigger chancer than that previous Park fella and must be removed or replaced if we are to gain any credibility and respect in transfer recruitment.
If BR himself, has final say then his judgement also, has to be scrutinised when you look at Hayes, Commper, Gamboa, Benyu, Eboue and even Musonda who have come up short of standards required.
Lawell is a great businessman but the business always comes first, well before the football team in his eyes and profit or personal bonuses seem to be his priority over improving the team.
Unfortunately, this concoction of bad elements have conspired to put us in this mess and it needs, intelligence, common sense and much more positive actions than we are seeing to fix it.

Once a bhoy guys like Rogers mourinho and wenger all had their career cut short or didn't play at a high level. Hasn't stopped them being a coach.
