I was really hoping we would tie up Mcginn in January. I know we have a lot of CM's but he's a cracking player and would add an extra dynamic to the team. He's not even been mentioned in the press in the last week or so, do you think there's still a chance Ed or more likely the summer where we would face a lot more competition for his signature.

I'm a big fan myself. Some players are unfairly criticised for their performances against ourselves or other clubs. McGinn would develop dramatically under Rodgers and learn a great deal from the midfield players currently at the club particularly our Captain. Broonie himself was a raw youngster when he came and look how he has turned out. McGinn has great drive and energy i think he would be an asset to the club.

I have watched him ever since we were first linked and he scored against us. He's never impressed me once. Against rangers he was rank rotten.

As things stand he is better staying at Hibs until we have a spot in the squad for him. I don;t think he is ready to hold down a first team spot and figure playing each week is the best thing for his development just now. Perhaps reassess in the summer if any of our CM leave.

McGinn has been awful in 6 of the 7 games I’ve seen him in this season
He’ll end up in Lesgue 1 playing for Fleetwood if he leaves Hibs.
We gave Kouassi so need to sign an overrated SPL player.

He was Scotlands best player against Holland. He might have been rank against Rangers but he wasnt rank against us before Xmas when he found the net twice. Or is he just being judged on his poor games.

All players have ups and downs in form, hardly makes them overrated and only good enough to play in league 1. McGinn is a cracking player who would excel in a better team. As of Kouassi he might end up not making it but hard to judge a player who can’t get game time because he plays behind our captain who hardly misses a minute of football.
