Ed is it true that Armstrong is asking for a 1 year opt out in his new deal? Would be disappointing if true. Would really love him to stay, but if that is a reflection of his commitment then it would probably be for the best if he went.

On a more positive note, the young guys being signed at the minute are getting my excitement levels up. This policy of recruiting the young player's being stockpiled by the EPL clubs is very shroud. Really can't wait to see these lads in action.

{Ed007's Note - I don't know if it's true about Armstrong or not but I don't believe it for a minute mate.}

Sounded a bit dubious. Probably just Twitter turd. I would be a bit gutted if he left now that he has got up and running. I really hope he signs a new deal.

{Ed007's Note - I was on Tw@tter yesterday and there were so called supporters giving SA stick and calling him all sorts over a story in The S*n! The same people that tell Celtic fans not to buy that $hitrag badmouthing a player over a story in it. It's unbelievable the way some people behave during the transfer window and the amount of rubbish that somehow ends up being seen as fact is worrying, and that's just not in football that happens.}

Apart from checking this page I don't have anything to do with football at this time of year as it's all speculation, "clickbait" is ruining the internet. There is the squad we finished the season with and then the one we start the new one with, i'm sure it will be stronger.

I'm also sure Armstrong will have signed on the line by then. His career is on the up and up at the moment and he has just established himself in this good team I don't think he is looking to move and it's just a case of ironing out the details.

{Ed007's Note - Sensationalism makes £ mate, that's the major problem with a lot of footballing sites.}

What's a 'one year opt out', is that like a sabbatical, is he going to travel the world for a year, and then settle down to play football when he gets back?,

{Ed007's Note - Typical bloody student types!}

Haha Aindoh, sounds like it. Only repeating the exact phrase I read on Twitter. Maybe he wants to get his hair braided and swap the boots and kit for Birkenstocks and a Tie-Dye t-shirt and head off to Cambodia to learn poi and find himself.

{Ed007's Note - Is he a qualified lawyer yet? #Resolution12 #StripTheTitles...

The guy quite rightly wants the right deal, none of us know the inns and outs so why not just let it be and I'm sure it'll be settled 1 way or another.

He dosent strike me as the type of player to pull this, always seemed like a level headed boy.

{Ed007's Note - I agree with that 100%, that's why I don't believe it. It's the kind of thing some arrogant prima donna would ask for. And it's pretty disrespectful to the Club and fans, I think Lawwell would have just hunted him with a flea in his ear if he had asked for such a clause. This is Celtic, not Accies where players have relegation release clauses and such.}
