Laughing at all the Plastic Man City fans wanting Niall Quinn took out there Hall Of Fame for celebrating Celtic scoring against them on Wednesday haha! I never knew that every player that has been inducted into a clubs hall of fame had to support that club!

Agree6 Disagree1

A bit of nonsense from some gob shites who think that an EPL team has only to go out on to the field to beat Celtic .
As far as I am aware big Niall owned and potted Sunderland to success over Manchester City with no talk about abducting him from their Hall of Fame.

Their fans comments on their own forum were bewildering after the Celtic match. Deeply dismissive. Unintelligent. They gave virtually no credit. Critical of commentators for talking incessantly about Celtic Park atmosphere etc. Critical about Scottish football. They see us a donkey team with no right to compete. Not so long ago they were totally skint and were losing heavily to all and sundry.

Now they have Qatari's at the helm and all is well…and well earned.

Money doesn't last for ever! What happens when all these " plastic clubs " as I call them as they have no identity (man city, PSG to name a few lose there beneficiaries? When the Shiek gets bored and pulls his Money who is going to pick up the 250k a week wage for reserve player Yaya Toure etc lol? I expect arrogance with all them down south, a reason why they are all hated worldwide whilst us passionate fans are loved around the world! I'd take passion over greed and money any day :) !

{Ed007's Note - There is no single Sheikh to get bored, it's a company called City Football Group who also own 80% of New York City FC, they own Melbourne City outright and have a stake in Japanese club Yokohama F. Marinos.
City's owners have no intentions of pulling out of the club, they are in it for the long haul and there's also mega-rich Chinese investors involved in there too. If they ever decided to sell there would be no shortage of takers all over the world who would jump at the chance to buy City, it's one of the best run clubs in the world and the earning potential is huge. Don't forget that these clubs are ruled by FFP Regs, the owners can't just keep putting money in, clubs can only spend what they make, within reason.
And to be fair, Man City's owners are investing serious money in the whole area, and what they've done is jaw dropping. Google the Etihad Campus and/or Sports City, Manchester.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Man City being spoke about like clubs like Celtic, Man Utd, Barca, and Madrid, Bayern, Juve etc in 30 years time. Remember all these clubs had to build their history, City are doing that just now imo - they took a massive step towards that the other night, all the so called super clubs have been shocked and surprised when they face a full flight Celtic team in a jam packed and bouncing Celtic Park.}

The man city fans are no different from any other EPL clubs fans! They live on a different planet! Like paradise says, it wasn't to long ago that they didn't have 2 bob to rub together and where languishing in the lower leagues down there! But in swoops they'r cash rich new owners and there sky money and they sit in judgement of teams from the smaller countries! What really makes them sick is the atmosphere created in paradise the other nite there money can't buy! This is fans with a team full of the worlds best players yet still can't sell out there stadium! Cannot stand a single EPL team or there fans! Everyone one of them can take a flyin f**k to there selves!

Well said Wiss81! I play at junior level and was playing in the indoor pitches this week as the weather was horrific here, nearly every kid and some adults had English BPL kits of some sort on. I just don't get it? Why would you support another foreign club over your home club? I was born 2nins from Parkhead and moved to Dundee as a 5yr old. The thought of buying an ENGLISH team kit makes my skin crawl. Support your home town club end off. Maybe if the fans of smaller clubs like Ross County etc bought a Ross County kit instead of a Man Utd one that would be a start.

{Ed007's Note - What about the millions of Celtic supporters that don't support their local team? The bus loads that travel from all over Scotland, come up from England and across from Ireland every week? If those people stopped following Celtic to follow their local team we would be no better than a Hearts or Hibs.
Or is an Irish lad supporting Celtic different from a Scottish lad supporting Liverpool or a Chinese lad supporting Man Utd? Celtic's worldwide appeal is what defines us as one of the great football clubs in the world.}

Build their history or buy their history?, money from dubious sources?, money from the exploitation of 'slave labour'?, money from god knows where as long as its money? .

when I was at secondary school - late 70s - first day kids in my class asked me

Whos your English team? (catholic school in east end of Glasgow so your Scottish team wasn't in question)

I didn't get the question - I asked Why would I have an English team? But they all did then usually man u or Liverpool - I really just didn't get it

Sky Sports ramps up Super Sunday, Fantastic Friday or Magnificent Monday: Barnsley V Watford. does nothing for me

Watching Celtic - or teams we are about to come up against - yes (or I make time for the Mighty Ragers getting gubbed - happening a lot lately. )

Dont get the relevance to having to support your local team tbh.

I'm from Inverness and grew up there till I was 17. My first ever football game I attended was at celtic park mixing it in the jungle when I was 7 years old with my late uncle. Since then I was hooked and never looked back. I watched Inverness thistle as my local team but that was squashed with the caley merger but it was never the same as my first love.

I'm a believer that you don't choose what team to support it chooses you and the more supporters the better imo, it's what makes our club.

Surely if you know our history, u will know why old fools like me make the trip as often as we can to Celtic Park .
I know of no reason, other than glory hunters from the past going to the wee L'pool stadium . I suppose they stole our songs and got Kenny for a song .
