Some people on here have very short memory's! people that are touting Lennon for the Job are they the same people that wanted him out a few years back! I have a saying in life never go back! Never go back to a relationship there is a reason it never worked the first time! It's the same with a job he left for a reason so why go back! I love Lennon he's a Celtic legend but he has had his time as Celtic manager now let someone else give it a go!

I am saying I want him back and I didn't want him to leave. NL was a success at Celtic as a manager. he rebuilt a derelict team, beat a financially doped rangers and won three league titles, qualifying for the champions league last 16. He signed all the players that have made the club a fortune as well. Bring him back give him financial support and let him build a team without selling the best players every year and we will dominate in Scotland for another decade.

{Ed007's Note - Let's hope he's over chatting up women (and a lad!) on social media and gave up threatening women with knives. As well as all the other times he dragged then name of the Club through the mud and embarrassed us all with his loutish degenerate behaviour.}

I am not bothered about him chatting up however he wants, I don't know about the other times he has dragged the name of the club through the mud. If he has then yes I agree I hope he is over it, as I hope he will not be the victim of further terrorism in the future.

{Ed007's Note - I don't think the woman was a terrorist but at least we know he's tooled up and doesn't care if it's a man or woman. What a hero! I suppose you'd blame your sister if it was her he threatened.}

I would agree with the principle of not going back . It rarely works and also removes the excitement of getting a new manager and probably a different style of football and also a couple of different types of players . Of all the names listed we probably don't know for sure who will definite do better than R D . We hope and expect that whoever the board chooses will do better but there is no quarantee.

{Ed007's Note - I've got a stab proof vest up the loft from when I worked security, I wonder if Peter Lawwell has his own? Because from what I've heard it will be a cold day in hell before 2 members of the CFC board would ever have Lennon near the club.}

Now that's just silly Ed, I said I didn't know about that, was he convicted of this offence which is indeed grave. your comment about my sister if I had one is uncalled for and disparaging who could condone such actions. Just for clarity I was talking about the intimidation and terror he was subjected to in his time as manager at Celtic, but I'm sure you knew that. I am still struggling to recall when he dragged the name of the club through the mud.

{Ed007's Note - Try Google, there's plenty on there. Leaving Twitter because of his sleazy antics was on of the more public examples of his depravity and a particular highlight for me in seeing his mask slip.
I have no idea what bombs and bullets have to do with NL getting the CFC job, would you be interested in a candlelight virgil outside CP for the woman Lennon threatened.
You do know he held onto the Bolton job by the skin of his teeth because of his off-field behaviour don't you? Like I said, try Google, I've wasted more than enough time discussing such a human being as NL.}

I sleep well at night these days knowing that Lennon is no longer manager and never will be manager of our club again. To suggest his reign was sucessful Grout64 is laughable. Had it not been for Sion fiasco it would of been 3 seasons before he delivered any shape or form of european football. His last season in charge, Absymal. Wait forgot! "Cleansheet record"

29 Apr 2016 10:24:19
I liked the way we played and the European highs (and lows) when NL was in charge. I obviously am aware of the personal attacks and threats on him but admit to being ignorant on most of what has been discussed previously.
However, he had his time and enjoyed reasonable success (imo) . I think he left because the board would not back him and kept selling any decent players he could build a stronger team on (same with MON and WGS) .
However, he left, went to Bolton and failed. Regardless of all that, we should NOT have him back and we should now move on. The RD experiment failed (which is a shame but probably not too surprising for many) . We first need a board which will back anyone coming in and retain good players to give that person a chance to build a foundation on. (not too many of the current squad are worth keeping right now so a big challenge to whoever comes in)
Just get that person sooner rather than later is all I ask.

To be honest can't understand why anyone would want someone back who pubically touted themselves for an EPL job on numerous occasions during his reign as manager. Reality of situation is, he thought he was of high stock and only team interested in him he got them relegated to League 1. Only reason he wants back is because he has realised outside the grass is not greener and he is not rated as a manager.

DN 30 it is incontrovertible that NL was a success given the distaste. er he inherited. You have an irrational dislike of him, your choice but the legitimacy of your view is diminished by your previous unstinting support of RD.

29 Apr 2016 16:43:35
Grout64 was that the reason it didn't work out at Bolton as well? Support of RD was down to the fact he was improvement on Lennon. RD downfall was getting knocked out of Scottish cup by championship team.

Ive got to admit I was doing backflips along Sunny Beach on holiday when Lennon announced his depature. Horrible person in more ways than one. Deluded to think a clean sheet record was more important than domestic cup success. Hands down best holiday I've ever been on 😎😎😎✈️✈️✈️.

DN 30 I have no idea what happened at Bolton probably a multitude of factors although he did keep them in the league a year longer than expected with the financial meltdown.

Anyway I am glad you had a lovely holiday that year and I hope you have many more, although I trust you were not wearing speedos when back flipping on the beach. True story when the news broke about NL leaving I was waiting to go down into surgery with a general anaesthetic. I must say over the last two years there were times I wished I was still under and the performances were all a bad dream under RD. I don't think we will ever agree on your point about RD being an improvement, I didn't think it then and I certainly don't think it now, his tenure has been fairly awful actually.
