Armstrong
Sometimes quietly effective
Sometimes quietly ineffective
Never a winger and not an attacking forward either
Tidy player who is good in possession but unsure of his suitability for our system and his " fit " within Scottish football
Lacks a bit of muscle and dig
Perhaps better suited to a slower and more cultured league

Hit and miss. He's not a wide man but was always going to struggle getting in ahead of johansen or commons down the middle.

Looked great in a good side, but like many before him the step up to the standards Celtic demand and expect can be a bit of a culture shock. I agree he is being played out of position, but great players can play anywhere they're required and sadly we are very short of great players these days.
I am sure he will get a chance in CM through injury and suspension and must show more desire and grit in his play.

To get the best out of Armstrong, I think he's got to be played through the middle. Much more of an influence from this position in attack and defence. If he gets a run there he'll be excellent. Smart player.

None of our widemen are able to free our full backs to cross the ball. Either our wing men are not creating the space or else the full backs are not making or timing the runs .

Glad to see Armstrong in the middle today. It's not his natural position to be out wide so it's hard to judge him. Look what happened to Brown after a slow start. Armstrong will be a top player for Celtic.
