Apparently if any club offers £14m ish for Maeda then Board would accept it
Here is what I think Maeda has chucked it past 15 months so £14m would be good business, but here is the rub, would we trust our cheapskate Board to use money wisely or as I suspect pocket most of it and sign an inferior player on the cheap.

That would. be a loss of 11 million from what we could have got in the summer. I am not saying he should not be sold, only highlighting that the board cost us a lot of money because of their inept summer transfer dealings.

Maeda is currently a shadow of a year ago and is clearly unsettled. Astute transfer business in the coming week could make all the difference, but I have zero confidence in our recruitment team.

I thought Maeda wanted to stay til summer now to guarantee him game time and improve his world cup selection hopes?

The astute transfer business would have been to sell him in the summer when his stock was at his highest and you have the best chance of obtaining a replacement.
Our board done the first part, which was to line up a buyer but they could not get a replacement because they are incompetent, so where unable to sell. My personal belief was they had Jamie Vardy ( zero ambition shown by board here) lined up but because of the breakdown in relationship with Rodgers over yet another failed transfer window and crashing out of the Champions League as a result, that deal fell through. They were then left scrambling about and found Kasper Dolberg (another bullet dodged) but lost out as they dragged their heals over penny pinching. Eventually the window closed and we had failed yet again to find a replacement for Kyogo.
Consequently, we lost out on a bumper transfer fee and got left with an upset player whose form and value plummeted. Only the Celtic board are capable of such astronomical feck ups from a position of strength.
