What if we had beaten Motherwell 6-5 and Sevco 8-7 would we all still be moaning saying his tactics were p! sh as we conceded all those goals? Against Livi we shipped two and scored two in the first 10 minutes. Where else have we had excitement like that?
Would you rather have had beaten the Well and Sevco 1-0 under BR watching a turgid 90 mins in each game?

So you think it is acceptable for Celtic to concede 12 goals in 2 matches to SPFL opposition. I don't and it would be a damning indictment of how bad we have become.

Totally agree Joe, totally bizarre comment to make stengo. Why would any supporter be happy with our conceding huge numbers of goals as long as we win.
We want our team to play attractive football, which we are not most of the time and to defend properly which we are not most of the time.
If we concede 5 or 6 goals against an SPFL club, can you imagine what a European club would do to us because make no bones about it, we would not be able to score more than they would.

We're really never going to do anything major in Europe anyway. Not within the league we're in. Even if we get into Europe' s second phase it would be an achievement.
It doesn't matter to me how we get three points in the league I'd rather watch the team knowing that we are scoring goals rather than sitting afraid that at 1-0 we could get suckered through a dearth of our own chances.

My Dad would always tell me it didn't matter how many goals we conceded as long as Celtic scored one more goal.
Basically The Celtic Way.
He always told me that was from Jock Stein.
But
Big Jock actually said -
It's important to win a match but I think what's more important is the manner in which you win.
So I'm not sure Big Jock would be too happy at conceding 12 goals in 2 games unlike what I was led to believe growing up.

We want to play well everytime we go on to the field and that includes defending well. If we concede 12 goals in two matches then we haven't played well defensively.
