Guys the Queens Park game tonight is being shown on Celtic TV.

1967 Timalloy

1.) 05 Jul 2025 10:33:03
Was good to see some of the younger lads last night Tim, like the look of the bhoy Ure, definitely needs to be given more game time in my opinion, in the middle of the park and not at LB. I know it was only Queens Park but his positional sense and sharpness seriously impressed me he has got to be one for the future. HH.

2.) 05 Jul 2025 13:44:12
Think Ben Somers turned out well.

ED007 any truth in rumour that CCV underwent surgery in close season and is still recovering
If true we will need to sign another CB if the Japanese boy is not first team ready.

1967 Timalloy

{Ed007's Note - Seems like it's legit Timbo

1.) 02 Jul 2025 11:37:56
Injury prone. Time to put him out to pasture.

29 Jun 2025 19:05:51
If it's HEIGHT you want

Celtic are tracking French midfielder Sidibe who is 6ft 7 inch
At that height if we do not sign him then Boston Celtics might lol.

Now we're talking Timalloy ?

☘️ ☘️ ☘️.

2.) 30 Jun 2025 00:21:18
We have been linked to this guy since last summer.

3.) 30 Jun 2025 11:40:43
Maybe we were waiting until he stopped growing.

29 Jun 2025 09:19:55
"In ra Morra"

Apparently Celtic have reached an agreement to sign the left sided Japanese centre half Inamura

If true this will be good for our defence as we need a left sided player.

Lots of Rumours about CCV leaving

Would you approve of club selling him?

What I think as long as we sign an improvement centre half, I would sell him for mainly these reasons, this is probably final chance for club to get decent money for him, anything above £10m, also he has been more injury prone last two seasons and has also made some defensive mistakes.

Yes this Tim says sell BUT ONLY if we bring in someone better.

1967 Timalloy

1.) 13 Jun 2025 12:43:18
I'd sell anybody if it was a chance for somebody better.

2.) 13 Jun 2025 13:44:07
If the money is good then I'd sell.

3.) 13 Jun 2025 15:13:54
He's a solid cb but I do think he os a little over rated. Would still rather keep him as replacing him with guanteed quality will cost 20+ million. Anything less than that is a gamble.

4.) 13 Jun 2025 15:33:54
I would rather not sell CCV unless its for a ridiculous price. We already need a CB to take scales/ trustys spot so i don't like the thought of us having to replace both CB spots. Too much of a gamble.
Id like us to go for Dara O'shea or highly rated Czech CB Martin Vitik to partner CCV.
And im also for bringing Ajer back if the price is right, but only if he is to play as a DM. He is exactly what we need beside Calmac in Europe.

{Ed007's Note - Vitik would be a fantastic signing and I know that we have scouted/watched him but with teams like Napoli sniffing about it might be a big ask to get him in here.}

5.) 13 Jun 2025 16:12:01
You are right ed, it is very unlikely as half of europe will be sniffing about him, but he is exactly the type of CB we should be going for. I think he may be into his last year so the fee shouldn't be an issue for us.

{Ed007's Note - He does only have a year to run on his deal. Fiorentina supposedly had a €10m bid rejected last summer and I think it might take that kind of money still but he's worth that imo.}

6.) 13 Jun 2025 16:52:10
I love CCV and I want him to stay.
But I would be looking for someone better to partner him, which would help us step up a gear.
It would also need to be a left footer.
It’s not a coincidence that when we play Central defenders in their natural position that we give away less penalties, due to the defender leading with his natural foot in the box.

7.) 13 Jun 2025 18:39:24
I think CCV is extremely underrated in what he brings to our team. CCV, McGregor and Maeda are the spine of our recent successes.

I would prefer to keep the big man but can see the rational if an offer of £20M or above came in as it could be reinvested.

8.) 13 Jun 2025 19:58:07
My tuppence worth re CB position.

If CCV stays, we need better than CCV to partner him, let alone better than Scales or Trusty.

If CCV is sold, I believe we require two first team starting CB's.

☘️ ☘️ ☘️.

9.) 17 Jun 2025 07:44:39
CCV has been caught out too often against the Sevconian and in Europe. We could get better.

With my horses today both my tips I am being more realistic/ cautious call it what you will

In the Falmouth stakes Newmarket 3.35 you cannot oppose the Ryan Moore Aiden O;Brian combination so favourite January is carrying my money odds only 5/ 4 but I am confident of a pay day

In the race at Newmarket before I am on Align the Stars @ 5/ 1
Let's hope the stars DO align.

Good Luck today Tim ?.

Addressing the concerns of their supporters that club is only signing young prospects
Mr Peter Lawwell said
"Celtic are looking to the future and in 10 years time when these players come out of Puberty, we will have a formidable team".

1967 Timalloy

1.) 10 Jul 2025 19:17:29
Not sure I get your point here, other than Osmand I don't see the others as being "young" in terms of professional footballers. May just be me though. plus the chairman is just a figure head, won't be involved in signings.

2.) 10 Jul 2025 19:48:01
Don't let the truth get in the way of a dig at Lawell Wyllie!

3.) 10 Jul 2025 19:57:25
Morton boy 16/ 17.

4.) 10 Jul 2025 20:39:38
Lighten up guys it's just my sense of humour with all the "prospects" we are going for.

5.) 10 Jul 2025 22:43:02
Tim it's not your sense of humour. It's the same pish you've been coming out with for years. Take a day off .

6.) 11 Jul 2025 12:11:10
I have no problems taking on a couple of promising young players that we can either develop for ourselves or to sell later for profit. What we need right now are players that can compete at a certain level now. That hasn't happened yet but it needs to. We can't gamble that we have enough to qualify for the Champions League proper before spending money on those type of players.

7.) 11 Jul 2025 13:38:43
@Gerrymcginn3 yes I have been posting DIFFERENT topics for years
You do not need to read my posts
It's a shame supposed Celtic fans are wanting to argue with other fans
Are you and that other "fan" DC related or just Carmurgeons.

8.) 11 Jul 2025 14:34:26
Don't know why you have to mention me Tim? Are you also implying I'm not a Celtic fan? Just you stick to posting about your weird creepy obsession with all things sevco and your weird love for Peter lawall. Hail hail xx.

I was watching wee Jinky on Youtube and game was played in 1971 England v Scotland, the wee man got one of his rare starts (don't get me started on THAT)
Wee Jinky stole the show and ran the English players ragged with his running and jinking inside then outside twisting the English players inside and out
The talent wee Jimmy had was all the more remarkable because in those days the ball was about 4 pounds HEAVIER than the balls used today, yet the wee man controlled the ball effortlessy.

1967 Timalloy

1.) 08 Jul 2025 12:21:13
When we Jimmy was in the mood it didn’t matter who the full back was, they didn’t stand a chance of coming out of game with reputation in tact .
Scotland team was always Rangers players plus others .

07 Jul 2025 14:48:23
ED007 did you read that article by James Forrest in which he said the Japanese lad is NOT a Brendan signing and that someone within the club sanctioned this signing, James goes on to say the lad will NOT play for Celtic at least while Brendan is there.
Do you think there is any truth in this story, why would rogers single out the Japanese lad with his comments.

1967 Timalloy

{Ed007's Note - Is he saying that is a fact or his opinion? Either way made up, so who did sign him? And Rodgers didn't single Inamura out, he answered a direct question about whether the player would go straight into the first team and Rodgers answered:

"No, he won't be. He's a part of the investment of the club. We'll see where he's at as a young player and then it's whether he stays with the squad or whether he has to go out on loan".

What's wrong with that? We'll have a look at the lad and see if he will go into the first team squad or go out on loan, that doesn't mean he won't be part of the squad come August/September. How many players have we signed that haven't went immediately into the first team squad and needed a month or two to settle in, this is a young lad coming from Japan, Rodgers isn't going to throw him it the deep end.
For someone who goes on (and on) about the meaning of words so often I'm surprised James didn't actually read or listen to what was said.

Rodgers also said:

"We’re delighted to bring Hayato to Celtic and we’re looking forward to working with him. He’s a young player full of promise and potential. I know that he’s delighted to be taking this next step in his career by joining us, and we look forward to welcoming him into the squad."

1.) 07 Jul 2025 16:53:26
More concerning for me as this is the area I think needs strengthening is buying a 23 year old and putting him out on loan or b team. I know the Japanese uni thing but he could be 24 before being deemed ready just for training with first team squad. Should uld we not have persevered with naiwroki? or is your rumour more apt for his situation? Hopefully the Bhoy does well wherever he plays while getting ready for first team.

2.) 07 Jul 2025 19:39:16
I'm suprised James is writing about celtic.

{Ed007's Note - See that's not fair imo. James writes about the big stories in Scottish football, it's like if I answer something about the going ons at Ibrox on our SPFL page that apparently makes me "obsessed" etc. I like James blog, him and PaddyOnTheRailway are the only two I always read but sometimes I'm not sure if he is giving his opinion or telling us something he knows as fact.
I will say this, knowing James loves a good political thriller and the work of John le Carre etc, he should try to find out who the Sage of Donegal's Ibrox mole in The Blue Room is? How many regime changes has there been since 2010 over there and The Sage's man/woman is still DEEP in there.... Wee Mad Vlad would pay good money for that type of covert work...

3.) 07 Jul 2025 20:10:29
When you are planning for the future, that is a good strategy.

Buy them before they become noticed, develop them and then sell on for a big profit (hopefully)

{Ed007's Note - Signing Inamura was the perfect time for The Hat to stick his wee pork pie trilby above the the parapet and explain some of the behind the scenes strategy and what he does rather than roll poor Tim Williamson out to film one of the worst pieces of cinematic history ever made.
The timing isn't helping the perception of this deal either, fans are clamouring for money to be spent and big name signings so this is a bit of a damp squib.
And let's be honest, we're writing the lad off over what, his fee, his experience? The Japanese league has provided us with some quality players and they didn't cost much in fees, others didn't work out, Inamura obviously met some criteria but it's a weird market with the college system, how much would Hatate have cost at 23 when he played was it LB(?)... and we did play him at RB didn't we?
Just wait until it comes out it was Ange that recommended Inamura ?

4.) 07 Jul 2025 20:25:04
Fair dos mate. ?.

{Ed007's Note - I do get it as a wee dig and a joke btw ?

OK guys bearing in mind what is going on today in Glasgow I came across a horse whose name fits perfectly

TRIBAL RHYTHM Sandown 2.25 14/ 1 (most bookies pay at least 4 places)

Even more ironic Jockey's name is DOYLE and horses colours are Green and White Hoops

So we are covering ALL the bases lol.

Mally Buzz you cannot blame Rapid trying to get as much as they can
They know Celtic need a replacement in quick so have basically doubled fee
I would imagine if we really are serious a bid of about £5m would get him.

But no Mrs T liked her Babycham
Me I actually loved Newcastle Brown ale

{Ed007's Note - I was going to put Babycham or Snowballs - I knew Mrs T was a classy lady?
Buckfast was my go to choice of life ruination Timbo, Guinness and Bailey's too but when I start on the vodka that's when things got REALLY bad.}

Guys what I am concerned about is Brendan has said Osmond and Inamura may not be first team ready, yet we have let 2 experinced players leave, there is also concern about the fitness of Johnson, CCV and worry over Tierney playing regularly.
We NEED at least 3 first team ready players NOW.
