Watched the press conference and anyone can say what they like about Brendan Rodgers as a coach, tactician etc, however having watched him as our leader I am proud of how he handled the questions, I fully believe any players or agents of players watching that will give their all to come together - A. All eyes in British media will be watching how Celtic react, scouts will be vulturing around our players, fully expect us to pull away in the league and perform well in Europe. I also reckon Rodgers will sign a new deal post January transfer window hopefully singing the players the team needs will do that.

Handled it impeccably.

He was excellent and had them in the palm of his hand.

So the attitude of this board will be completely altered on the strength of this one presser by BR? We still haven’t heard a peep out of them, they haven’t denied the Sun attack and we’ve just came out of a transfer window where we didn’t even do the basics, but everything will be rosey in January. How? Nothing has changed, the board will adapt a siege mentality and hope the fans will just forget all this in time and they can carry on a usual. They have taken the fans for granted for far too long. This genie ain’t going back in the bottle. Things will only change at this club when the hierarchy are backed into a corner, or some of them removed.

@chasaboy I never mentioned the board, however now you bring it up, I reckon there will be people moving on in 2025 and it won’t be Brendan. I also think the press conference suggests there’s been conversation with MN, DD, CK and BR. It will only be determined in the next steps, the squad coming together, the management structure coming together and ultimately the fans. Also think our fans need to look at a way protests won’t affect us on the pitch - we scared away Abada and possibly players we have wanted due to fans behaviour.

{Ed007's Note - That's simply not true about Abada, the player himself has explained it was pressure from people inside Israel that forced him to leave and thanked the Celtic fans for their support.}

Unfortunately a change of faces at board level won’t do anything if the entrenched business model stays the same. This isn’t going to be a quick fix and we could be in for rough time. Communication will be the key but at the moment, there is none and that leads supporters to mistrust the people in charge. They don’t exactly have a history of fan engagement and definitely won’t like being told what to do.

@ed007 he thanked “The Fans who supported him” not all the Celtic fans. I would say it’s clear he felt some fans did not support him.

{Ed007's Note - Have a look at THIS article from The Times of Israel - who I'd imagine are a pretty pro-Israel media organisation just from the name itself.

Israeli soccer player Liel Abada has moved from Celtic to US Major League Soccer club Charlotte after coming under pressure from compatriots to quit the Scottish Premiership following displays of support for Palestinians among some fans amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.
Abada was out of action for about four months and when he returned he faced huge pressure in his country to end his association with Celtic, which included public comments from Israel teammates.

"Leaving Celtic wasnt in my plans, yet life’s unpredictable turns remind us that we’re not always in control,” Abada wrote on Instagram.
"The past six months have been a personal challenge, yet the overwhelming support from the gaffer, coaches and board has been my rock. Their unwavering faith during these times won’t be forgotten but cherished forever."
"Thank you to all the Celtic fans. Recent times were very difficult for myself and my family but I want to say thank you to all the Celtic fans who stood by me, supported and respected me as a Celtic player."

You're literally making something up to use against Celtic fans, why?}

Not making anything up - I’ve interpreted it the way I’ve interpreted it and if I’m wrong then fair enough. However some of the way sections of our fans demonstrate, protest etc really irks me. Anyway fingers crossed Kilmarnock have a slow start tomorrow. Tough ground to go to with no fans even if it’s only for 12 minutes.

{Ed007's Note - The misrepresentation of anything to do with Celtic irks me, whether it's the board, the manager, the players or the support.}
