Bit of fun here Ed on a Friday. Hopefully a bit of reminiscing and a wee distraction from some of doom n gloom.
What’s the first Celtic goal you think of if someone asks you to name the best Celtic goal you’ve seen? Maybe it was where u saw it, who you were with, the significance of the goal… whatever. What’s the one Celtic goal that always springs to mind?
I’ll start - Di Canio chip at Aberdeen.

Today's Standout Celt is the Maestro, Paul McStay.
His goal and performance against Rangers on 20th March 1988 took us a huge step towards the centenary title.

For me it's The King Larsson and his chip over goalkeeper in our rout of them.

Might sound bizarre but it was a KD goal at Douglas Park in the mid 70s. 25 yards out managed to get three defenders behind one another and with a shimmy rifled the ball past their keeper. It was beautiful watching it from behind (telly) .
Any goal that's scored from outwith 25 yards - rather than watching this tippy tappy p! sh.

George Connelly scoring the third goal in the 1969 cup final victory against the old Rangers (4-0) . I was really disappointed that my favourite player Jinky, was missing and they had beaten Aberdeen 6-1 in their semi-final and were full of it.
I hadn;t heard much of George Connelly, but was and there he was rounding their 'keeper to make it 3-0 before there HT. Superb!

I loved the Sutton injury time chip to confirm our only Whitewash against them.
