Was speaking to my mate yesterday who is clued up about all things Celtic.
We were discussing Dermot Desmond and he confirmed something I had suspected. Dermot has an ally among the other Celtic shareholders and between them they have 51% of the voting rights.
This means that while this alliance remains, it will be impossible to remove DD. The only way I can see that happening is if we were able to disrupt his other business dealings through boycotts and protests and make our feelings known (peacefully off course) anytime someone encountered him.
My other suggestion is instead of singing sack the board, we should change it to Desmond Desmond get Tae feck.

A bit much Joe is it not.

Hiya i haven't been on for ages posting and few things annoy me but protesting and i was at the game during the silence really saddens me - the trophy cabinet is full of, money in the bank - Iam sure I’m not the only one that remembers couldn’t win anything, skint and on our arse. The board messed up Nicholson new to the job they’ve as much as admitted it - but to blame the board when the traitor Rodger’s is angling for exit - why would the team be motivated. No one more disappointed when we didn't reach the group stages CL than me - but everything is good - we need a new manager before a new board . Fact.

Suppose the rat that leaked a story to that rag gets away scotch free with you, Rodgers isn't the first and certainly won't be the last to jump ship, bit like ange.

Why on earth would we want rid of dd, was few hundred words into a reply before I decided what’s the point and deleted it, Celtic fans need to be very careful what they wish for, we are a stable successful club who yes could have done better, but for why do we get to an extra round in Europe, or win league by few more points, we’ve been let down several times in transfer windows yes but also seen ultimate success on and off park, have a word with yourself if your one of these entitled few who want such deep change at Celtic.

This is the board who have routinely failed to push on from a position of strength.
This is the board who gave us the war criminal John Reid, Torrie board members and tried to employ Bernard Higgins, despite having persecuted out fans.
This is the board who have regularly failed to sign players before important European qualifiers which has cost us hundreds of millions in lost revenue.
This is the board who resurrected Rangers and refused to back resolution 12 to pursue rangers when they lied to cheat us out of a champions league spot.
This is the board that banned fans from the stadium for supporting the Palestinian cause and then lied and blamed it on Glasgow council. They also lied and blamed a group of fans for causing trouble at away grounds despite them not being there.
This is the board who prefer to give our money to the tax man rather than invest it on our team and infrastructure.
Desmond is a major player on that board and plays a major role on our strategy. Unless he is removed or changes his strategy, nothing is going to change.

Another strategy is exactly what’s required, maybe you should read your initial post though as it was quite some way off a suggestion of another strategy, we as fans don’t know the ins and outs of the club and as fans should we Or is that something to add to what some feel entitled to along with the right to win everything regardless of how others invest or perform, right to have the best players wether we have them or not , right to sign who manager wants wether they want to come or selling club want to sell, right to say who sits on the board despite fans not being the ones who own the club, we want better we all want better and considering kalechi is looking as good as anyone we might have signed and better than the people he replaced it looks as though possibly timing alone may be Brendan’s only issue, for me the players aren’t good enough and we should do better (better strategy as you put it) but really was to your initial post of getting rid of dd and disrupting other business of his, and to be honest thought the post stank.

Desmond is a massive problem and i would gladly see the back of him.
There are plenty of other significant shareholders etc would show more ambition.
Im not one for saudi billionaire money or 69r type billions but money is money at the end of the day.
Id happily take a foreign billionaire that has ambition than an irish billionaire that has zero ambition that has played a major role in holding our club back from reaching our potential.
Remember if it weren't for their club dying and their reincarnation being absolute gash, his lack of ambition i think would be much more evident.

Look I agree recruitment been pish, let down several times, on that side I think we should be more like Brugge psv feyenoord but they have huge advantage in there leagues compared to ours, so I’m all ears who should we aspire to be like or show same ambitions as.
