It was Siegrist our ex goalkeeper, who wasn't happy he was told he could leave a couple of times and the club then stopped him.
Things change with injuries etc, that is football but he has been vocal during this window.

The Go Ahead Director tried to embarrass Celtic by saying Sevco were much easier to deal with.
Nothing will embarrass that lot.

The board have embarrassed the club and massively damaged our reputation.
Previous players, managers and other clubs calling us out. It’s time for change - the CEO must resign and the disproportionate authority one major shareholder has needs addressed.
It won’t happen but an empty stadium for Europa League would further damage them to the tune of circa. £8m which when added to the £40m commercial opportunity lost failing to qualify for the Champions League is the only thing that will get their attention and that of other shareholders and investors.

They have been doing it for years JFP and enough is enough.
I read an article yesterday that reminded me that we lost our commercial director in 2024 and have still not got a replacement.
This is a vital job for any club and the fact they have had around 1 year to replace him but have not done so, is just further evidence of their ineptitude.

JFP I understand what you are saying and know we, as supporters, need to do something but hitting the club so heavy financially will hurt all of us in the long run as with reducing cash reserves would ultimately reduce the money we have to spend on players.

Short term pain for long term gain. They’re just lining their pockets with the money anyway - they’re not investing in players or facilities to make the club you and me love the best version of ourselves we could be. Worse - the CEO and major shareholder have brought shame on us - our manager and captain have begged to get players in - but DD said no and the ball-less CEO said nothing. They’re incompetent and need to go - we need them to accept they’re out their depth and we need a transition plan.

JFP I agree with what you are saying and this is the angriest I have been at the lack of transparency and transfer activity. I had planned to go to Bologna with my daughter but pulled the plug on it due to what happened.
If we, as fans push this agenda, then hopefully it is only short term pain and doesn’t do the club long term harm.

A football club interested in building the football end of their club, would be slow appointing a commercial Director .
It’s surprising that a constant criticism of Celtic is that it’s too commercialised.
Now when Celtic slows down importance of their Commercial wing, it also faces criticism.

This Celtic board only understand the bottom line - £££'s.
Even given previous horrific transfer windows, they have set out to and succeeded, in plumbing new depths.
As a result, having weakened a team, that was already running on empty at the tail end of last season, losing the SC Final, they've sold off more of the remaining assets and replaced them largely with inferior players.
This has resulted in the board costing the club £40M by failing to qualify for the CL proper.
This board have embarrassed and undermined our manager, for the second time.
This board have ensured the team on the park is weaker than it was at the start of the window, let alone the start of the year.
This board are hoarding a cash surplus whilst the product on the park declines.
This board, as it has forever, treated the fan base with utter contempt.
This board has created a title race and giving confidence to our closest rivals in the league, when a title race was never there to begin with.
This board has severely impacted the clubs reputation by the very way it approaches other clubs around Europe with the 'prospect' of signing their players.
I hope the supporters collectively vote with their feet, empty stadiums for the Europa matches, is the only message these tory barstewards will understand.
The Celtic supporters clubs/ organisations have to take a stand NOW, in order to force change within the structure, behaviour and direction of this board.
Failure to do this or should the status quo remain, I fear could negatively impact the team/ club for quite some time to come.

@JFP thanks very much for your kind offer. Due to our jobs we are not season ticket holders so will definitely take you up on your offer when are free for a game. In fairness she definitely gets to more games than I do now.
Good statement yesterday from the fan groups showing a united front. The board can’t hide forever and I think this transfer window is the last straw for a lot of fans. Sales of EL packages will be interesting!

May I suggest you spend about £500m buying Dermot Desmond shares and then you will be in a position to get rid of whoever you like.
