A spineless statement released by a bunch of spineless cowards . Our club deserves better than these parasites. What they have released tonight is just going to drive the fans more and more against them and they deserve every bit they receive.

Every celtic supporter knew in advance what their rehashed dribble would be in their statement. A modern word would be to gaslight. I would say ripping the c×#t put of the fans!

They must have had to blow the dust and cobwebs off that statement. They must think that it’s like releasing old music to a younger audience hoping they accept it a new. Same old blah blah blah. They didn’t even realise that they admitted the mistakes that they keep making! Are we the only club in Europe who has to abide by the sustainability rules, cos other clubs seem to manage.
The fact is they had to be backed into a corner at gunpoint to even release a statement at all.

Absolutely so far out of touch it will cause an even bigger reaction…. ff$…. utter corporate pish. UEFA spending cap? Do they really think we’re that thick.
That’s enough for me and I’ve had a season ticket for 40 years.

This feels like a "take out the trash day" statement with it being released that late on a Saturday night. This board are so out of touch it would be laughable if it wasn't so FUBAR.

This part of the statement especially left me dumfounded "There are many factors and challenges at play in the global transfer market, many of which are outwith the Club’s control, including selling clubs
seeking fees beyond our valuation or waiting until the end of the transfer window to seek the maximum price, and players choosing to join another club or requesting contractual terms we cannot responsibly meet
within our financial model".
So its ok for our board to demand 15, 20,25million for players leaving our Club playing their football in the SPFL, but we baulk at other Clubs wanting 8,9,10 million for their prize assets.
If we think Kuhn or Kyogos identified replacement is not worth 8,9,10 million why are we identifying them in the first place?

They shouldn't have fecking bothered what a load of ?.

"We can never compromise the financial integrity of the Club. In short, throwing money at transfers and contracts is not a sustainable route to success"
With the cash reserves they have in the bank, we are more than financially secure. Finishing the window with a net spend, while not properly replacing the strikers isn't a sustainable route to success either.

The biggest issue now though is that most fans will accept it and everything will carry on as normal.

So no explanation for the ridiculous low ball offers for players, or the treatment of yang and idah which was a disgrace, someone said on here that this season had cv written all over it Hooe not but starting to get that vibe.

A Celtic Official Statement but yet not signed off by any of our gutless Directors.

I saw nothing wrong with the statement, to me there wasn’t much else Celtic could say . Fans demanded statement and the least. those fans can do is acknowledge the statement.
Surely our fans are not gullible enough to expect the Board to apologise profusely for making a total cock -up of transfer window, when I am sure the Board doesn’t believe that .
I have yet to see a dispute like the disagreement between fans and Board to not have two sides . I read somewhere that Board can expect the fans to be in full fury by Hibs game 27th of Sept . That is stupid and a disaster, if we want to win SPL this season we need to display unity at all of our matches . Fans can do what they want to Board as long as they don’t include protest during matches.

Most fans have rarely seen anything major wrong with the way Board has directed the club . Little has changed in the 25 + yrs this Board has been in control . Apart from being the most successful period in club’s history. Celtic ‘s success can be told every season, even before season starts, unless a relative ly few supporters who prefer to be seen and heard with negativity instead of positively encouraging manager and players .
The Green Brigade a Celtic ultra group, can have serious disagreements with Board who differ in regard to UEFA and SFA reactions to international events. The North Curve Celtic and Board can have disagreements over tifos etc and any ban to either can affect performance on pitch.

Stevie your comment is strange . Surely Celtic are entitled to ask £20/ £25/ £30 for players who are contracted to Celtic, but player wants to leave and a club is happy to pay it.
Similarly Celtic are also entitled to replace players sold at £25. / £30 by players who are younger and less experienced and are likely to benefit by training, coaching and developing by Br and his coaches . Surely if the going rate for these players is £5 + depending on time left on contract then that should be our price range .
Very few Celtic supporters criticise the price rec’d, or the price given for and by Celtic . There are genuine reasons for criticising the ability of player than the cost concerned.
