Def not McGowan, would demonstrate no ambition to improve in Europe. BR said himself, spend 1 million and maybe sell for 8-10 or buy for 8-10 and sell for 30-40 million.
He is nowhere good enough. He will not develop like MOR imo.
The club get hamered on here about not coughing up for players and we complain about projects but some want us to spend 1 million on a player who looks good in a Dundee side and may not even warm our each.

If Celtic were to sign 1 realistic marque signing who would yours be, current players only, my personal choice would be Mctominay on loan, think he could play in several roles, easily replace most of our midfielders in their current roles and even off the striker. Man United may have no option but to let him go due to the players Ten Hag is now bringing in, and Mctominay will need game time. Let's see where everyone's thoughts are with a Marque type signing.

McShea for me would make a huge difference at the back.
We needed his pace yesterday but in fairness their defence struggled against our front men and our midfield looked composed and up for getting it forward quickly.

will sign on loan before window is finished, we will sign McKenna, Idah and Bernardo, that's us finished apart from a loan deal for a 3rd striker - Keep the faith.

I would like to add, Bain is not good enough to be 1st choice keeper, however he is not bad enough to be 3rd choice, we may regret after 1 year of Kasper, Bain either being away or unmotivated. Bain will likely come back if he goes on loan, Owilyuma is likely our future in 3 years but time will tell.

I think u are looking too deeply into goalkeeping situation. Who is going to tell Bain he is third choice . Things are not much different than Hart’s first season . Bain seems happy with how Celtic are treating him .
I honestly think we may have more important worries about positions and players.

Scott Bain may have had limited game time since he arrived, but I think he will have some consolation with the array of medals he would not have received with any other SPL team.

He stopped playing to be a painter guessing the wages he gets and to be in and around this great club along with the trips abroad and medals beats the painting game. Getting paid to keep in shape not bad at all.

I think everyone just needs to give KT time to play, judge it after he’s played a decent run of games. Brendan will manage the game time, I think we all need to respect KT for coming back at an age he can contribute, he will be one of few to come back from the premiership (varied levels of success - Arsenal Fans loved his all action style) . I can only remember 3 in recent years Maloney, Fraser Forster (loan) and now KT (still to be seen) who all came back able to contribute. Any body I’ve missed on the past 20 years that did the same?
{Ed007's Note - Obviously Aldo, we need to see how KT fairs and we all want ot see him at his best and in the team as much as possible but the concerns & worry are genuine and another reason we need to get the back up LB signing spot on as in the worst case scenario - touch wood - he could be playing a lot of games.
There's been a lot of revisionism went on about KT when he left, remember there was a time he spoke about retiring and never playing again, he had been out injured when Arsenal signed him which a lot of people were surprised about, he just seems to be a player that has injury problems, he's missed large chunks of his career through different long term injury problems and they all seem to be through wear & tear on his body.
I will say this, I think KT will be one of our standout players in Europe this season - even if he is targeted - but thats' the level he knows he needs to perform at to show everyone he can still do it and he'll know that in himself.}

Think this helps us getting rid of those who don’t want to be here and get a couple of starters in early, last pre-season and first half of season we were the best in 15 years - document, almost unbeatable during the early stages. I expect the same as Roger’s will have them drilled.

GT will be a great player to retain, with a bit of luck deployed as a midfield anchor, serial winner with a work rate many teams and players would envy will break our modern day trophy records.

There was a moment in the game last night when the pundits said what club had scored the most goals this season in all competitions saying Barcelona then PSG, I think they forgot about Celtic? Wonder if someone has the actual stats. I reckon we scored 153 which beat both PSG and Barcelona.

Was never in Doubt - GT will be one of the most decorated players in Celtic History - Could be 12 trophy’s by end of this season, probably 4 or 5 seasons left in him within a squad rotation system. Each of these those trophies are post 2019 aswell.

I truly believe Taylor could play the midfield anchor role, he has the tenacity, reasonably good in the air, great tackler, has energy and pace in abundance, good at picking a pass, comfortable on the ball in tight positions. I would offer him a 4 year deal, he would also be an asset to cover for full back.
