I expect us to get another 3 signings in before the league starts.
Then we will have 2 days to get another couple of loan signings after the English transfer window closes in September.

That will be 7 new signings including Ox.
I’m expecting 6 players to also leave this summer with another 4 joining Palma and Nawrocki out the door.

That will leave our squad very thin with 7 loan players having already left plus Welsh and Schmeichel from last season.

I reckon Celtic will bring in extra quality in the last handful of days but only if we win our CL playoff tie.

Only things I can say to support lack of signings are that even Rodgers said the better players become available later in the Windows. This must be players who are not free or above the available dross pimped to all and sundry.

Sorry apologies is this not actually a fact that better players become available then. I get it we are always last minute seems no planning ending up with loans. No argument I was simply referring to the notion that better players do become available later in the Window, maybe more so after a WC?

Edd, the bhoy Hassan IF he signs do you rate him mate, personally am not overwhelmed with his YouTube clips (ano) or his stats, do you think we are paying the transfer fee based on 1 good game at wc, as a think if he was that good other teams would be all over him.

of course if he signs a hope our league suits him but av just no confidence in that board.

{Ed007's Note - We were negotiating Hassan's transfer before the World Cup, that's what stole us a march on teams who did get interested with his WC performances, we tried to sign him in January and he was interested but didn't want to move midseason.
I've seen too many players i thought were going to be a disaster for us turn into some of tge best Celtic players in my life and vice versa, players I was excited to sign who flopped so when comes to Hassan let's just wait and see before getting tore into the lad.

His numbers aren't great but he has that raw pace and a bit of trickery. Similar to Kuhn, who didn't look great until the following season he signed for us then his numbers skyrocketed. I've high hopes we can get the same from Hassan. He could be a great outlet in Europe too.

Has this 4231 type formation run it's course? The recent world cup showed it to be the same boring build up, side to side nonsense that we've had to endure for a few years now. I'd love to see us get back to a 2 up front formation with less emphasis on ball retention and constant recycling, over risk taking and having a go.

I've said for years that I hated playing with 1 up front, especially at home and this slow passing side to side puts me off watching most of our games.
I really want to see us going back to 2 main strikers.

Hogh and Duran up front have real potential if we go for Hogh. His physicality and Durans pace could be a good partnership and add Hassans pace on the wing to create chances.

Then get a lb, keeper, cb, Baur and possibly another midfielder, and keep AJ and I'll be a happy bunny.

I've always heard that if it comes from Romano then it's happening. Very rarely does he put something out unless it's concrete.
