I'm still hyper after yesterday.
Minutes away from going 4 points behind Hearts and also not playing for the next fortnight would've been torture.
But
Celtic won in the end like Champions do and going 9 points ahead of the latest Ibrox club was the cherry on top.

What does the latest ibrox club have to do with our result? Who cares about them.
We are going to win the league because we are the best team in Scotland. What we need is a better board and a better manager.
06 Oct 2025 17:02:10
What manager do u have in mind.
06 Oct 2025 18:01:18
I have had mixed feelings about Brendan Rodgers because all things considered, his team selection, tactics and substitutions have not always worked. Yesterday was the first time I notice the current anger at the Board was being diverted to the manager and team, when we were struggling. The reaction of the players and the subsequent substitutions and switches made all the difference and we won a very tight game under very difficult circumstances.
We all know too many of the squad are well off it and it's no wonder with all that's going on around them and it's not any easy place for new players to settle. It's a shame that effin International break is here AGAIN because I would have liked to see some momentum.
The consensus seems to be that we will be looking for a new manager for next season as a new contract doesn't look probable from both parties. What I will say is that for any faults and flaws he may have, I really think he has Celtic in his blood - most of the time.
06 Oct 2025 18:08:36
The BBC jumped the gun when we went 2-1 down and that lot 1-0 up. A pic of tavpen and something about being only 4 points behind celtic.
06 Oct 2025 18:12:07
Mally, someone who is fully backed, progressive and knows what he is doing.
06 Oct 2025 18:53:42
Dc,
Like it or not but the latest Ibrox club remain our biggest challengers for the league this season.
I’m sure they will finish above Hearts.
So both yesterday’s results were huge.
06 Oct 2025 19:32:35
The biggest challenge to us is ourselves. I fully expect sevco to finish 2nd but I honestly couldn't care as long as we win the league.
The fact some Celtic fans can't celebrate a Celtic win without thinking about sevco is sad and pathetic and I actually feel bad for fans that like that.
Mally its not my job to pick the manager, but id be happy with Knutsen, Rose, Mckenna, Vasco. There are plenty others I'd have ahead of rodgers but it would take me all day to name them all.
06 Oct 2025 20:04:50
Competition is said to be healthy but according to you it’s pathetic- okay ?♂️.
06 Oct 2025 20:53:32
Listening to rangers on the radio when your supposed to be watching celtic is pathetic. I would understand if the title was on the line but that is embarrassing.
I honestly do not care if we have competition in Scotland as a matter of fact if our board had acted properly we wouldn't have any competition we would be far and away the best team in Scotland and would be competing in europe but that would upset fans like yourself that are obsessed with all things secvo and as long as we are ahead of them its all sweet and rosy. ?.
06 Oct 2025 20:54:17
Dc, if you don't look out for Sevco's results you are in the very small minority. Football lives off rivalry and a close 2nd to a Hoops win is a Sevco defeat. If that makes me "pathetic" then guilty as charged.
06 Oct 2025 21:50:04
So chinks you listen to sevco games at Celtic park? Would probably help explain the terrible atmosphere. I think you will find you are in the minority. I honestly can't believe the obsession from some fans on here.
I have never checked the sevco score when im watching Celtic and I think most fans are the same but the weird obsessed ones like yourself.
06 Oct 2025 21:51:45
Richard Foster on BBC radio said he hoped Motherwell get one and possibly more points yesterday before game started.
I realise they get paid for giving opinions but i've never heard the Rangers leaning "experts" being so openly anti Celtic.
Richard Gordon stepped in with something about being from Motherwell perspective.
BBC are so biased against us I think Ill stop paying my licence fee.
07 Oct 2025 08:15:41
I haven’t paid for that pish for years.
07 Oct 2025 09:41:18
Guys, if you look at what is happening in here, the board will be delighted.
We all have our opinions on our transfer window, how the board are running the club and recently our Manager, a guy who's delivered so much success to our club.
It is important we all have an opinion but we are now arguing, challenging each others opinions, which isn't a bad thing, but at a time when we should all be standing together behind the team, we are split and Sundays game demonstrated that.
Silence, moans, shouting abuse at the Manager and players is not what we are about but it is where we currently are.
The board will be smiling.

More Pre Loved Timalloy jokes as requested by our "Ultra in Black" ED007
I was in the toilet in the old Jungle when this guy came in with a big heavy coat caked in mud and dirt, he was unshaven with long dirty unkempt hair and he smelled to high heaven, in one hand was a half eaten pie with pie grease all over his face, he continued to eat his pie while peeing with the other hand
He turned to the assembled crowd and asked "how are the ANIMALS doing"
Buzz reminded me of this when you used to watch your game and listen on the tranny for the h. ns score.
For younger posters a tranny had a whole different meaning back then
Another time in the Jungle (all the characters hung out there)
A very drunk guy was peeing OUTSIDE the toilets and two policemen ran over and told him to stop, he ignored them both, so one policeman took out his personal radio, pressed the button for aerial to come out then spoke to match commander, on seeing this the drunk man shouted in a loud voice "BEAM ME UP SCOTTIE"
Wee boy outside Celtic Park at a old Rangers v Celtic game, he had rosary beads around his neck, a Rangers fan laughed at him and said "Are they to PRAY for goals son? "
"Naw the boy replied tae COUNT THEM"
I was walking down Paisley Road years ago just at fans were spilling out of Ibrox
"what was the score pal" I asked
came back the reply Nothing Each
I replied "who MISSED your penalty".

Good yins Timalloy.

Ralston is an honest boy but we need better how many times did he give it away yesterday, AJ looks as if he's nearly fit and that'll make a difference.

Donovan looks better than ralston.
06 Oct 2025 13:22:17
He sure does DC7591 but we'll train that out of him.
06 Oct 2025 14:49:54
Tony could be blamed for both goals yesterday after he got caught out in the lead up to their penalty.
But he’s just back from injury and his pals got him out of jail.
06 Oct 2025 16:05:52
The Canadian national coach seems to think AJ will be available for selection very soon ?.
The lad Donovan, for me, has been excellent when called upon, he could have a great future at the club.

Granted I'm no expert, just a every day punter like you all, but I don't see the big deal with Tounekti. He's so one footed, always looking to cut in. No end produce, no shot at goal, if I see him roll his foot over the ball again, it'll be one to many times.
I looked at Motherwells 1st goal today, winger down their right, low cross into a area and ask the defenders to defend. We don't have wingers thst can do thst as thry play on the opposite side from their strong side.
Now you many say professional footballers should be able to hit with both feel, but how many are truly vomfi on both feet?
I like my wingers to go kn the outside, hit he line and get a dangerous cross in. I don't have any stats to say which is better. Just an opinion.
But like I say, I'm no expert and just a every day punter.

The rare times our wide men go to the byline and cross or cut back often creates goals, but I heard the manager prefers them to cut inside or make the short pass to keep possession?
Most supporters would prefer the more direct winger as long as they had a decent end product.
06 Oct 2025 10:12:35
Yes indeed, a winger who can regularly hit the bye line and cut it back to the onrushing forward is a real asset. Our wingers tend to hit it straight across goal and hit defenders. It must be a cut back to be effective.
06 Oct 2025 10:36:34
Rolling his foot over ball and facing defender up (slowing play and his advantage of skill and pace slowing back up defender to join ) is giving me mikey Johnstone feelings,
05 Oct 2025 23:05:33
I was at the game today plus listening to them on the radio like the good old days and I loved it.
I'm still buzzing and celebrating with a few drinks.
It's good to win a 3pm kickoff match against them and our older fans from the 1990s will appreciate my celebration drinks.

I would've rather had Maeda on the left wing and Nygren on the right.

It’s strange aindoh,
Maeda plays better on the left wing although he’s right footed.
You’ve maybe read my preferences for Nygren.
I enjoyed our ding dong years ago and I hope you’re keeping well. ?.
05 Oct 2025 20:47:01
Both of them are dug meat tbf.
05 Oct 2025 20:50:54
Tbh wee Forrest is probably our best right winger, hugs that touch line and knows what it’s like to play for Celtic. Just a pity he’s in his latter years ?.
06 Oct 2025 10:07:15
Forrest flatters to deceive, gets the ball and complety kills the game. can't believe he is still at our club. If he wasnt homegrown he would have been away years ago.
06 Oct 2025 11:56:29
Loads of respect for James Forrest. But one or 2 Glasgow derbys aside, we've been a man down against them. Can't fathom out the hype.
05 Oct 2025 19:09:45
I need to defend our manager.
I've personally criticised him only recently due to strange decisions this season.
But
I've noticed Brendan has previously struggled in his duties as the Celtic Manager.
We struggled to score goals in his first spell as the Celtic Manager but he found a way to improve and he got success.
Brendan once again struggled to score goals at the start of his 2nd spell as the Celtic Manager and once again he found the solution.
Brendan mentioned after the Braga defeat it was his job to find a solution.
Personally Brendan has previously proved that he can find a solution and I've got no doubts he will once again succeed.

I agree Buzz, we are not sevco, screaming for the club to sack the Manager when we are in 2nd place, not 8th, we are not playing great but I agree, BR will find a way.
05 Oct 2025 19:31:36
I agree Buzz.
All the goals were sold to boost an already burgeoning bank balance.
He’s starting again from scratch.
The board cut his throat in the window and then stabbed him in the press.
He will fix the team and we will win five in a row.
05 Oct 2025 20:02:05
Scales aside, no one has got going yet. Once things click and the flow in the team comes back we will start hitting teams for 6. But today was a long way off that. I'm happy we dug in and found a way to get 3 goals while not being at our best. From sh*t to sheer grit.
05 Oct 2025 20:03:05
For last ten mins the team, club and fans were on same side emotionally and emphatically willing team on, it’s been best 10 mins of season and highlights importance of everyone pulling same way, that team reacted to the fans push no doubt, or where rubbish scared not to get a winner, we don’t need to look far to see real toxicity, let’s not go same way.
05 Oct 2025 20:44:59
Sorry buzz. He's playing nearly the full team out of position and his subs are mostly wild? I feel like he's phoning it in and it's rubbing off on the team?
05 Oct 2025 22:21:02
Everyone is entitled to their option Gerry.
05 Oct 2025 22:34:52
Gerry,
Like I said,
He’s done it before and he will sort it again.
06 Oct 2025 10:10:54
I think brendan will leave at the end of the season and I think it will be best for all. He is nowhere near the manager some people make him out to be.
Ive no doubt we will win the league but I'd like to see our manager actually change something, which he didn't do in his 3rd season during his first spell.
06 Oct 2025 10:40:01
I think br will leave us as champions, my worry is I think there will be a big recycling squad also, Johnstone ccv hetate meada alongside other under performers,
06 Oct 2025 15:09:37
The players are on edge due to the atmosphere in the stadium. It was weird yesterday, not the usual roaring and getting behind the team.
No one can deny that is affecting the team and from my personal viewpoint, needs to stop.
We have new young players, how are they interpreting the atmosphere, it is not welcoming or supportive. How are they supposed to perform with silence from the fans or ranting from the stands.
Have a war with the board all you like, cracking on as far as I am concerned, but having the team as collateral damage is not celtic like, it mirrors the poison oozing from across the city.
