To start with I know nothing of any Celtic transfer activity apart from what I read or the rumours on here.

But like every Celtic fan, or majority it is concerning that we have oy signed 1 player and several more are required.

Now as most people said last season was one of the worst Celtic teams but got dragged over the line by MON.

Hearts under McInnes weren't far away from doing a Leicester but just couldn't win an away game towards the end of the season.

As much as Rangers finished 3rd, they weren't far away either and if they had a manager like McInnes might just have done it.

Rangers have been very active in the transfer markets and yes people will say they had to improve there team, but so do we very much.

As much as nothing is won in pre season signings (although Rangers fans believe there is a trophy) and you never know how signing will turn out. Rangers have been coming in every pre season only for their signings to fail. But this feels different. They have a good manager, not a great manager but good for the Scottish league. He'll get a tune of of players and they seem to be tooling up.

I get some of their signings are back up, like McCorie and Devlin and they needed to sign players after the raft of loan signings that left, but they have some starters also.

Now look at us. We have all said we probably nerd at least 6 1st team ready players signed, we have 1. Seems there's not a great deal happening on the horizon, hopefully someone can tell me different.

Now I have no doubt players will be signed. But it's frustrating that we take a age to sign players, we're other teams seem to get them over the line quickly, and you can't tell me we're going for better quality and it's harder to sign them.

I get there's a lot of wheels that have to fall into place when signing players.

But signing the OX and Ineacho just won't cut it.

I hope I'm sitting here at the end of the transfer window writing a different post, and even more so at the end of the season as league winners.

But please let's hope there is a plan in place to get the quality we need and it's just taking time.

What I think has happened is the market has changed and we are refusing to adapt.

I honwstly don't think we have adapted to anything along with the transfer market. We are so backwards it's unbelievable and down right embarrassing.

I say every window, getting rid of the deadwood is equally as important as strengthening the side in terms of morale and comoetition. The squad has got stale and needs a good freshening up. A number of managers have tried to get the best out of what's there even if the players wasn't really suited to how they wanted them to play. We need 5 or 6 new 1st team ready players in as well as a better depth on the bench.

Goals, physicality, flair, hunger. Some of the 2nd string don't offer that and maybe lost that bit of a spark and hunger for falling out of favour. Now is the time to overhaul, we can afford it already without the money raised with selling off our prized assets. We can easily get the problem sorted and finish with a high net spend still. The board just need to get their fingers out and get active.

Does anyone actually believe we are actively scouting for players. The way things are going we won’t recruit anymore until there are departures. It’s scandalous. Again there is a high chance we will fail to qualify for CL and miss out on £30M. 2/ 3 qualify players is all we need but not a chance in hell with this board.

For some time now I have had serious doubts that we have any structured and efficient Recruitment Network that is part and parcel of ANY big club. The Desmond Dynasty may have business nous, but they have serious and damaging flaws and ineptitude when it comes to operating, improving and developing our football club in this era.

MN does not seem to understand that agents and other clubs will play hardball just like we do when selling players.

This guy has absolutely no clue about running a football club. His idea seems to be that he can throw a lowball offer in and expect the selling club to just accept it or refuse it but eventually come back and accept it.

He needs to be realistic when putting offers in as other clubs seem to manage to scoop up players without much fuss.

If we want a player, like Scarrachi who is for sale at 2m, why wouldn't we just pay that as he is worth that all day long.

We are worldclass at being amateurish.
