I know it’s a forum, but armchair fans and fans that don’t even watch our team, giving opinions on how a club is incompetent, mismanaged, telling us mon is dd yes man and moaning that our maj shareholder is acting like an owner makes me chuckle,

We’re back exactly where we where last year, these same fans said we’d win nothing, thes same fans wanted change similar to sevco, new ownership, new football organisation, 50 mill spent

there’s no doubt the club had a disaster 18months in squad support, buys, development, managers etc etc, but club got job done, they now have a job to do to get us ready for new season.

Same people have got job done for long time and been successful, the attempt to constantly negafy (new word) this forum from our own fanbase is shocking,

The collective was a great organisation for fans I think, fans should support collective and its actions for future change, some want the divide of last year ( I question those fans as fans at all)

So fans with ambition are not real fans?

I wouldn’t call getting through 2 champions league qualifiers out of 9 a success.

03 Jun 2026 11:09:01
Not a great team for team building with so many players on World Cup Duty.

03 Jun 2026 12:05:31
Many fans don’t have season tickets and still support the club through merchandise, Celtic tv, Celtic pools etc.

Other Celtic fans can’t attend through private personal circumstance such as health or simply having bigger priorities for their cash. Some simply live overseas.

Who made you the the arbitrator on what constitutes a true Celtic fan?

There may or may not be regime change in the future and I for one hope there is OR a change in direction from DD and maybe a combination of both.

Celtic was formed as an inclusive club open to all.

Your arrogance is astounding.

Don’t remember anyone putting a figure on spending. What we do expect is to spend a proportion of profit accrued from sales to progress the football club, not top up the bank balance. We also expect to have a reasonable amount of communication from the club WE fund and not be treated constantly as the enemy.

And we DO expect accountability, not contempt from the people who see the support as a nuisance.

A went to 8 games last season with my 2 daughters cost me about £900 tickets, bus, bit food does that entitle me to have an opinion.

03 Jun 2026 13:18:38
How can anyone suggest that things are OK as we got the job done.

The team are nowhere near as good as it should be. We are looking at a total rebuild instead of a couple coming in to strengthen the team.

The arrogant board thought that they knew best, that stashing money was better than strengthening the team, selling our best players and replacing them with loans or cheap punts.

Yes things are going well!

We have at least 12 players tomorrow on and at least 6 first team ready players to come in and settle in before we start the league and CL qualifiers.

They are so good and we are 2 weeks in with no Manager and no players moving in any direction.

Well run club!

As for a season ticket holder moaning about those who for whatever reason could not get a ST but still spend their money on the club, is just embarrassing and entitled.

Someone posted on here I knew who it was from a few words before he read the whole message.

Jaa, 100% knew that was you.

Only season ticket holders are real fans, utter nonsense. When I went to games I was astounded at how boring the majority of fans were and that hasn’t changed. Better atmosphere on the bus journey than at 90 of the games not helped with a poor product on the pitch.

Arrogance isn’t the word I would use North Q.

I said once people like you are the problem for no change with renewing your book and you took a cream puff over it.

I have more respect for Big Rab and Wee Joe that practice what they preach.

There’s a few replies here caught line and sinker like you bishopton and I could say same for your reply, there’s a few also saying things that I didn’t say putting words in my mouth, and I do practice what I preach, I’m there week n week out for the players in that strip regardless,

No one’s disputing people’s views or opinions, but the jump straight to negativity is repulsive in my view, that’s point of post, why so defensive,

And I don’t believe any attendee is a better fan of those who don’t, I do believe there better than the ones that don’t even watch our team (by watch I mean even tv) yet bombard us with their opinion.

Some of the replies where a bit reactive instead of reading what was actually said but it was a deliberate provocation as I’m peeved with the negativity, surely you can understand that.

03 Jun 2026 15:32:30
I have always took exception to season ticket holders thinking they are better than others and there opinions mean more.

Whether it’s a joke or not, it will always get on my nerves.

If your really at the wind up fair play cause you got a lot of ?.

03 Jun 2026 16:46:25
By the way DD is not our majority shareholder, he has a minority shareholding, although you wouldn't think that when you see how much control he has. ?.

03 Jun 2026 17:07:11
Oh no wasn’t a wind up bishopton, I just knew some would bite, but you’ve not understood the point, by watching I mean at all, I’ know I said armchair fans tho which was bit wrong of me, but my point on armchair fans is there ones saying don’t buy season books etc, could’ve worded better.

03 Jun 2026 17:31:36
Jaa I take exception to your comment about armchair fans! I am proud to say I am one, not always as I used to hold a season book until recently. I have spent thousands over the years on merchandise etc and watch every game. What gives you the right to say I am not allowed a opinion, I have been on this site for years and really enjoy the banter, the work Ed and the team do is fantastic and openly encourage everyone ones comments whether they attend matches or don't.

It will never be my place to tell folk what to do with their own hard earned cash.

It’s just my opinion that the major changes everyone wants won’t happen without Season Book sales substantially dropping.

I feel you’re all being ripped off with the prices compared to the product on offer. Celtic fans deserve better and in particular the ones that contribute to the club.

03 Jun 2026 20:21:46
Jamie your right, armchair was a bit uncouth.

Try see my point and not the admitted wrong word used, woke up this morning to reading a raft of
Negativity, not just about the pending managerial appointment but certain individuals changing a posters point to a negative alternative of there own, it was a reaction as sadly while we all contribute to forum my opinion its becoming very common, I’ve found myself doing it and delete the reply before sending, so let me clear things up (armchair was said as there’s armchair fans telling st holders they shouldn’t renew or hope they don’t renew, there's people who don’t watch our team play tell us our players are poor and other teams players are better ) it was an overall reaction to the continued rhetoric by some to immediately reply negatively to what some people post, no one’s suggesting opinions of people are wrong, but on certain posts there just not required, some of us want to talk about a new manager or new player, or a player being sold, or retiring without it being hijacked with a negative board rhetoric, the board can’t hide these individuals will get plenty of opportunities to say there piece, so hopefully I’ve explained over last few posts and anyone peeved about the armchair comment (I’m sorry give me a break eh)

{Ed007's Note - Uncouth! Peeved!! ??
