Ed is there anything in calmac rumours, I don't mind losing him just not same time as reo Engels and possibly Nygren.

{Ed007's Note - When players change agent is usually means they're looking for a move and there's been rumours about CalMac wanting out since before January.}

Calmac basically said he would only ever leave if Celtic didn't get moving in the transfer window. If we don't get reinforcements he'll go in the summer I say if we get him cover n reinforcements he'll stay.

{Ed007's Note - "So as long as the club want me there and as long as the club’s ambition matches my own, in terms of playing any the highest level."
He's got a bloody cheek to demand better players be sold when he has been stinking up the pitch for 18 months but maybe the Club don't want him, maybe he's been told he won't be guaranteed starting every game ??‍♂️

It’s time for a change ED. He’s been a decent captain but never did make his potential in my opinion. Appreciate that’s on the managers that have played him deeper but feel he could have done so much more for us.

{Ed007's Note - ???

Everyone's time come and goes, his time has probably been up for a couple seasons. The failure of the club to recruit younger and better is the reason he is still here.
Maybe my own feelings on it but the team needs to be broken up and rebuilt with freshness and hunger running through it.
If the club do it correctly is another question that I suppose only time will answer.

Let Calmac go whoever else may leave.

The best we’ve seen of him in a few seasons has been him driving forward, he’s hauled us a few times out of trouble -however he’s been rotten in his actual position, with reo and Engels on move we could have used him in front of a new younger hungrier bigger taller stronger dfmd.

He's been a good servant but he isn't having the same impact as before. Even if he was to stay I'd hope it wasn't in the same deeper role as he doesn't get the team ticking like he used to do. We need a proper CDM in there now.

Think Calmac has been a bigger influence on the training ground and in dressing room than he has been on the park, b lucky to get 10/ 12 good games a season mb 1 in Europe, as people have mentioned 1 or 2 shouldve been brought in to cover him and Scot Brown.

Captain Backpass.

Ed, he’s 100% right, Calmac has been carrying Celtic for a cuppla years now, last season wasn’t good enough by the board and not looking like changing any time soon.

Obviously his best is behind him but I also think he can see the decline and rot has well and truly set-in with the way our club is constantly being mismanaged and failing to progress with the times. Celtic barely scraped home last season despite gross incompetence in recruitment and an embarrassing managerial merry-go-round Sticking with MON was the easy option, as is trying to re-sign several loanees at a time when we need a total revamp top to bottom.

No disrespect to MON as he is - and always will be a legend, but we are crying out for new ideas, new objectives and higher ambitions, that will never transpire while Celtic are under the heel of the Desmond dynasty.
