Here we go again with Saracchi.
Most Celtic fans would be happy to see him signed and I believe the player would also be keen to come back.
Boca are already at their limit on "foreign" players so will be keen to move him on in order to free up the space for a first choice player.
However, our BoD will know this and appear to be trying to get him on the cheap, paying what we can get away with, rather than what he is worth. What the clowns fail to grasp is that we're not the only club who could take him! No doubt, while they penny-pinch with their offers, someone else will come in a nd snap him up from under our noses.
This is exactly what has been going wrong for years. Get him signed and pay Boca what they want as he's worth it. Otherwise we'll end up panic buying late in the window again, overpaying for inferior players.

This pisses me off, if true. Saracchi was wonderful and ought to have got more game time. Easiest load conversion since Maeda.

When it works I don’t have an issue with the low balling. We got Nygren by low balling, o’reilly and a few other further back on unbelievable bids which in turn have been very good for the club so in business it definitely is a good approach. It all depends on supply and demand - if they can’t use him and Celtic need him for cover at LB then lowballing makes sense in this instance for me.
If we bid 6m and get him immediately you would be pissed off sick if you could get him for 2.5m with a bit of negotiation. Issue is that it doesn’t always work. Did Celtic miss McGinn by lowballing? Obviously there are bad story’s as well as good.

Negotiations are part and parcel of buisness. Go in low work up to an accepted bid.
Now if we desperately needed a LB then yes pay what they want. But he'd be back up to Tierney.
As much as he looks a player I've no issue lowballing this one and see where it takes us.

Guys our Board have two sides when negotiating
If we are SELLING we expect top dollar eg Parma and Nawrocki Board put high price on both
When Board are BUYING eg Saracchi we go in LOW
But this present Board has no idea to compromise.

This was the guy that won us the league on the last day, watch his involvement in the 2nd goal from about a full minute before the ball hit the net, he totally changed the pace of the game when he came on and not for the first time last season. Get him signed up and stop f****** penny pinching. Jeezo will we ever learn.

Celtic aren't paying 5 million pound for a back up LB. I want to sign him but its not going to happen at that price. Plus I got told from a decent source his family didn't settle in Scotland.

I would love us to sign him and play both him and KT, one of them playing further up the field.
Scarrachi has shown how dangerous he is further forward and can create goals, as has KT.
