So Aj reo maeda and Engels look to be going.
Aj-I thought club could convince him one more year (after injury)
Reo- isn't contributing but did on numerous times in big games, granted went missing, this quality needs replaced
Engels- baur straight replacement can’t say I would b unhappy at that,
Maeda -I think Duran looks the ready made replacement as long as we can get other forwards in (praying at this point for those linked)
Do we see Nygren go - if aj was staying I’d be really up for this especially for a big fee as I just don’t rate him ( maybe he’s going nowhere and that why just wasn’t brought in)

Think we'll need a replacement for hatate engels and possibly nygren. so imo baur not enough would take mulligan chaiwa or. both. would like penrice as back up/ push for kt. if aj goes we then need a starting rb. thsts s bare minimum. hogh would be a step forward.

Hopefully we don't repeat the mistake of last season and go into CL qualifiers, failing to strengthen key areas of our team and fielding players who want to leave.

That is a big if and from past experience it is rarely a good idea keeping players who want to leave.

Maeda aside we’ve saw players do it, players knowing they have a move on but still contribute, I would suggest Engels, aj would be of this ilk, if a players is expressing desire to leave then yeah it’s a bit of a disaster situation for all,
Everything is such a big if but if we get the 2 forwards being mentioned and baur, then I’d argue we look to have got things right this year, they don’t seem panic buys, Duran looks well sourced, baur fits bill and the Egyptian and hogh for me are quality signings, it obv doesn’t stop there with what’s required, I think the right level of loanee isn’t a bad thing for some other positions and suitable replacement for leavers like aj or Nygren would be another test for club, but wether timings suit or not getting it right for me is more important than timing, perfect world is 4-5 walked in on day one of preseason with more in later but I just don’t see Celtic as the attraction we think we are and I think we actually have to work hard to get people ( made harder with what’s required seems a very inept person doing the deals)
Mon in my view will have the players needed to start season and start winning, he will also have what’s required to qualify for cl, if signings are made ( I say that as those we linked with and negotiating are what’s needed so on face of it and without moaning about Nicholson and timings, if these happen we should be ok and show signs someone ms making good choices )
