If you are manager of an opposing team, it must be easy to set up offensively against us.
You just put pace on the left side and tell them to target Yang and Ralston. You do the same at set pieces, target Ralston.
In many ways I feel for Ralston as he is being asked to play a position that is alien to him, one he is not equipped to play and one that is even more challenging due to the lack of protection provided to our defence.

Agree to an extent Weejoe regards Ralston, although, he's never been good enough to be a starter for Celtic at anytime, and only get's a start when AJ is injured.
The defence across all 3 positions will require new players to fit the system (IMO) that Nancy wants to play, not the other way around.
To my surprise the manager started to implent his style of play from minute one and he will live or die by that.
There's been a marked improvement in our play in the last couple of games, along with wins, and clearly he requires players who can function successfully playing that system.
Given the timing of Nancy coming into the role he's had to work with what he's been left and let's be honest, Ralston, along with a few others, are nowhere near the standard required and would be better moved on.
Kenny is another that falls into that category, he's a 3rd or 4th choice striker at best in any decent Celtic side and along with at least one CB and a RW, I think he needs two strikers, a starter and back up.
If you feel for Ralston what about Scales? Our most consistent defender over the past two seasons and he isn't getting a look in and to be honest, I don't think he will.
Nancy for me requires defenders who are confident on the ball, can carry it and pass, all done at pace to keep play moving forward, none of that is in Scales tool box, he could well be surplus to requirements.
We'll wait and see what next month brings.

I am glad that Scales has dropped out the team. he is SPFL standard in a back 4 and there is no way he has the legs for a back 3.
It's all about opinions and I know he has a number of fans on here, but for me he's in with Ralston, Kenny etc that need moved on.
