I just seen mckenna getting quizzed on the Celtic job and he give nothing away. Only thing i took from it was he seems very happy and focused on trying to get them back to the Epl.
If we have any chance of getting him i think dd would need to give him serious investment to interest him.

I think we will probably have oneill and maloney til the end of the season as it will be harder to attract managers away from their current clubs unless they are already out of work.

{Ed007's Note - And when/if McKenna takes Ipswich to the promised land again to spend another year fighting relegation knowing he could get sacked any time...

Being under contract to Ipswich he can't be seen to be doing cartwheels because he is being linked by media to the Celtic job.
He is saying the right things to appease their fans and his employees.
He might well be doing somersaults in the privacy of his living room.

Apparently made contact with Brugge Manager.

I would be surprised if he would come here unless he was promised a change in our recruitment and youth setup and money to buy the players he wants.

If he comes with promises of money being spent, what does that say about our previous Manager and his requests.

It would be a fantastic couple if we got him imo.

The link to the Club Brugge manager, Nicky Hayen, is interesting (IF we're actually considering approaching him) . I think it was Chris88 that posted about him the other day.

He's doing well at the minute, apparently playing some very nice, attacking football, and significantly has a first team squad with an average age of 23.5 yrs.

Personally, given where we currently are in terms of the board and DD's statement on BR, I don't see why he would move to Celtic at this time, unless, those in power at the club completely changed their M. O.

☘️ ? ☘️.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Brugge manager is using us to get a better deal where he is.

Club Brugge have their youth academy team (Club NXT) playing in the division below, that makes it much easier to breed homegrown/ youth talent into the first team fold, that's why they achieve such a low average age being able to call upon players who have probably had plenty of competitive football under their belt.
