Excluding McKenna, I'd be surprised if there's any truth in the names linked so far.
Robbie Keane, Craig Bellamy, Damien Duff. None have the experience required and would split the fan base, something the board will want to avoid. If they hadn't played for us they wouldn't be mentioned.
Ange, loved his brand of football but the way he got Frank Trimboli to engineer his exit to spurs has likely severed any chance of returning, especially whilst Dermot remains in place.
Knutsen would be as coup, but it would require the entire football operation to be ripped up. As much as we all want to see the setup modernised, I don't think the board are ready for it.
Mckenna fits the mold and I could see it happening if he wanted it.
My pick, albeit it ambitious:
Ralf Rangnick, respected tactician with a proven record of youth development and has an eye for a player.
If we were waiting until the end of the season one to keep an eye on is Nicky Hayen at Brugge.

Would anyone fancy Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?

It's SLY and other hun media outlets that are firing pages out the phone book of speculation. McKenna would be a popular choice, but there would be a hefty compensation due if he was interested.
The Board are in deep enough hole for several reasons and MUST get the next appointment spot-on to gain a crumb of contentment from the support and that doesn't mean phoning downtrodden AP - who is being touted and even though successful.
first season had one eye on the exit months after his first term.

Isn't mckenna as inexperienced as duff keane and Bellamy?

No, he had back to back promotions from league 1 and then the championship to the pub league and was then relegated.

Ole is a definite no for me.
It is a real opportunity for the board to build bridges with the fans and by getting Knutsen or someone of that ilk, it would please the fans but it would not reset the relationship completely.
Fans still want heads to roll and also would these top Managers want to come here, move from clubs where they have transformed them and built success, to play in SPFL and pay more tax.

Interesting shout, looking at the Brugge squad, we could use a few of their players.

They had three young lads they'd developed in the academy in their defence when the smashed the buns. Their entire development structure is something we should be looking at.

The Brugge captain is a player. Tall, physical and chips in with a load of goals and assists.

How about Kevin Muscat as next Celtic Manager, OK he played for Sevco, years ago, you never know.

Has Keane not won 2 league titles in 2 different countries? I would take Knutson preferably but Keane would come into my thinking too because he's won titles.
