Think av had enough, the msm do like to sensationalise a disaster, and let’s agree transfer window was, but the stuff you see and read from so called Celtic fan pages is ridiculous, yeah the rebel inside screams sack the board, but a striker aside Celtic DO NOT HAVE A BAD TEAM, if the teams playing rubbish it’s on br and his staff end of, that team/ squad looks think because too many on outskirts of team aren’t being developed correctly, the negativity driven by our own will so no one any good, I can’t wait to see this team find form, and if they don’t no excuses from br, he has just now and has had in players he’s let go the players needed to win domestically, yeah if cl progress is what he and fans wanted then there’s disappointment there but we need to realise we aren’t the draw we once where, and only will be when our manger has us flying so he better knuckle down and get us flying cos he’s getting off Scott free in all this,

That is not exactly true as there are other deficiencies in our team. I was going to give a breakdown but I CBA.
However, I would say we need to strengthen LB, LCB, CM, RW and striker. We also need to be strategically planning for replacements for aging players in the next 1-2 years.

Wait to see their headlines in May!

We already have 2 left backs?

Yawn, the tean is weaker stevie wonder can see it ??.

I don’t mind a genuine debate but If somebody thinks we are a good team then no point in me engaging. That view on our team is what I would say is beyond rational analysis.
Time to move on.
Goalie, midfield, forward and wings has been poor since February.
We have lost our last 6 biggest games and not scored a goal in the last 300 minutes.
All our signings bar Tierney have it all to prove, notwithstanding KT is injured.

There is no doubt the team is weaker than this time last year and there has been a total arse made of the recruitment (again) . However, we could see against Kairat that even CL experienced players were wll off form and totally devoid of ways to break them down (twice) ! Brendan Rodgers repeatedly advocates slick attacking football but when it fails to materialize I think he lacks the imagination or motivation to change things and he blames that on the current squad.

I don’t get the idea that the Current Celtic team has an enough quality.
Kasper best days behind him.
Ralston journeyman.
CCV. Frequently injured.
Scales journeyman.
Tierney best days behind him and frequently injured.
Calmac really struggling probably through overuse.
Hatate inconsistent and would leave if he had an offer.
Nygren too early to tell.
Forrest best days behind him.
Yang journeyman.
Maeda had a few good seasons but wants to leave.
The two new wingers are just in the door so time will tell.
Yeah we have a decent sized squad however the above is deemed to be the most recent first eleven so clearly the rest and not doing enough in training to justify a place in the team.
In a years time we will be in a bit of a mess in my opinion with only Maeda and Hatate liable to raise decent fees to fund a rebuild as the board won’t spend the resources available.
The cost of players are rising and we are not spending/ recruiting enough to keep pace.
Worrying times when it’s likely to be a yes man replacement for Rodgers.

Scales is one of the best and most consistent players Celtic have left.
I wrote that as a compliment but some will use that as evidence to show how bad Celtic have become.

Buzz,
I get your point to an extent.
Has he improved under BR- Yes.
The last game v sevco summed him up for me.
Great in the air that day and got a few great blocks on balls coming into the six yard area.
However he gave the ball away quite a few times and it would have been punished by a better quality team.
For me it’s informative that there is never any reported interest in him from clubs ready to whisk him away to a higher level.
He is what he is and granted we have bigger areas of concern. ?.

North 18Q ?.

I would say the majority on this forum are in agreement as to how weak our team currently is, summed up by celtic65 with the numbers quoted.
The performances in the final game of last season, SC Final, and the two games against Almaty are the 3 key 'lowlights' for me, in order to form that view.
In terms of individual players and their worth, I agree with North 18Q.
Although I agree that Scales works hard, with the limited ability he has, he should and would be on the bench, if we had anything close to a scouting system and player signing policy worthy of Celtic Football Club, but we don't.
I could go on but there's no point.
