Being generous the the substantial investment of our squad this year has been underwhelming.

I don't understand our football business structure. but it doesn't feel right.

None of our big money signings have been great. The 3 of them different degrees of average at best.

We need an overhaul of or football deportment pronto.

In the past 4 games against our biggest rival we have been poor.

We have a good leader and man manager in BR . but what has he got to support him.

Not a lot of good form my perspective.

That mob have not offered much . Thus far.

We need to do more to stay on top. Come on Celtic!

The big 3 were all signed on BR say so he's been backed and needs to be keep getting backed but he also needs to take responsibility on his signings which a think they have done well so far mb for the Cbs.

According to Transfermarkt,
Celtic made a profit of €13M on transfers last season.

In the last 7 seasons,
Celtic have made a transfer profit in 6 out of those last 7 seasons which included Ange winning back the title in the 2021/ 22 season.

You probably feel underwhelmed because Celtic hasn’t spent much money in the transfer market over the years.
Our process however has brought unbelievable domestic dominance.

The tactics work against most opponents, hasn't worked against their mediocre squad, and in all honesty playing well in europe and winning doubles and potential trebles I would take all day long before our head to head record with a team who will be trophyless come end of the season!

To stay ahead recruitment needs to be better, two of our best first 11 come from a league we don't seem to be dipping into, which is bizarre given the success they have given us!

If Hearts do accept the offer from Bloom we have two clubs that could cause us potential issues, regardless of what Hearts or Rangers can spend on transfers, they surely have Leeds/ Brighton loan options which can will only make them both stronger!

I hope the board are smarter as we move forward, but we've signed worse in the past than what we recruited this season that's for sure.

I am quite happy with our performance this season to date .
For far too many seasons us fans haven’t been happy with our performances in Europe. This season was different, we had one very bad result but we had 4 or 5 excellent results, some of the best results in Europe since the start of this century.
In league with 3 games left we are 17 points clear obviously we have dominated the SPL from start until now .
We have won League Cup and are in Final of Scottish Cup .
It would be a very harsh critic that could complain about our season . If we win S Cup that will mean we will have secured 6 trebles out of 9 attempts, surely a world record .
Who are our main rivals, Hibs or Aberdeen .
8 find it difficult to regard Rangers2012 as our main rivals, as they were formed only 12/ 13 years ago, by crooks and con men . Rangers2012 are without history and have just 1 SPL,1 League Cup and i Scottish Cup compared to our 120+ trophies we seem to have a good chance of staying in front of them, in trophies won in the life time of most of our posters on here .
I am not sure who our most expensive players are, as we are by Scotland’s football finances a very wealthy club in deed and forgive me if because we are so financially secure, I don’t worry about amounts paid for players manager wanted
for sake of argument let’s say 3 most expensive players are Trusty, Engels and Idah .
Despite SPL attackers thrown everything legal against our defenders and in Rangers2012 case ( bottles coins and lighters ) Trusty began his Celtic very well indeed and so many of our fans were delighted . As season progressed, and Trusty received knocks and bangs all over the place which of course were not frees as far as Sevco referees were concerned, Trusty became worried with the application of rules he wasn’t used to and began to get involved in a pulling match with his attacker . BR is giving him a rest and rebuild his confidence .
Engels is a hard working midfielder, linking between Cal and Hatate and doing a lot of difficult unseen work .
Idah didn’t have a good start to season, possibly because Norwich didn’t want to sell, and Kyogo was first choice . However now that Kyogo is gone and he had sowed his wild oats, Idah has improved greatly in his attacking play and goal scoring.

Everyone entitled to their opinion ….

But do we have an adequate and progressive football business structure… imho we don’t.

Our only competition is rangers over the past 40 years.

We need to improve big time to stay ahead. If not, it won’t be pretty!

6.) 10 May 2025 09:41:51
As long as we buy and spend on what is needed then who are we to judge what is a successful model and more to point a successful implementation of the model, look at our recent buys idah, was demanded and in the end was needed , engles I know some debate but his stats speak for themselves and jota arguably again was needed, by needed I mean to bring continued success, appease managers requirements on the pitch, wether we spend 30 mill or 10 mill have a surplus or not, if we spend on what’s required I think we should be happy.

7.) 10 May 2025 14:21:28
If our only Ccompetition is the new Rangers 2012, they are further behind us (. 17.points ) with 3 SPL games left. Rangers2012 are falling further behind this season than they have previously, it’s only deluded h. ns and their media SMSM who think that Sevco is coming closer
We cannot be complacent, and also we cannot regard a club that is on verge of administration as our most serious challengers . Every club in the SPL are a challenge and I worry about the financially sound clubs more than a basket case who are desperate for money from anyone.

Sad state of affairs for sure JFP.

I have to say I haven’t voted for circa 25 Years which is a shame…… but having had the misfortune of dealing with politicians over the years of all parties, I could not bring myself to back any of them and wasn’t minded to turn up and spoil my paper.

I know a lot politicians are good and well intended but when you get to the small rump running parties and government…. It’s not good or even decent.

As a natural nationalist, I would single out the SNP and the “Greens” as the worst of the lot. A small cabal of self interest with no economic or strategic vision.

I had decent hopes for this labour government but their priorities seemed to be to target the elderly and poorest in society. I accept they raised the minimum wage.

Hopefully we will see a better and more decent band of politicians rising from our younger people soon. This is our only hope.

I won't be voting again they're all the same lying through their teeth and out for personal gain, iam a nationalist to but they're as bad.

2.) 16 Apr 2025 11:52:07
MSP's got 20k pay increase, while everyone else got around 2 to 3%. SNP fairly party of the people.

They are all out for themselves, unfortunately nothing we do will change that.

3.) 16 Apr 2025 15:15:13
Being asked to vote for a political party is like being asked, what is your favourite flavour of jobby?

Starmer was hanging about with Rupert Murdoch and the Israeli lobby, told me everything I needed to know about him. That is not to mention how he back stabbed Corbyn on the behest of his Israeli buddies, who did not want the leader of the opposition calling out their actions against the Palestinians.

The sad reality is I don't see the status quo changing, as the large corporations, oligarchs and the rest of the power elite have their hands on all the levers of powers. So even if we did manage to elect someone who is prepared to fight them, the power elite would use all their power, wealth and influence to make sure they didn't succeed. This would cause the economy to crash and mean that voters wouldn't vote for them out next time around.

Hugo Chavez and Venezuela are a good example of what happens if you get someone for the people in charge. Their country gets ruined economically and the CIA try to remove you by a coup. Obviously it would be slightly different in the UK.

4.) 16 Apr 2025 17:02:20
Corbyn was our only hope. But people are to easily lied too by our media.

5.) 16 Apr 2025 17:22:45
Don't think Corbyn gave a rats ass about Scotland.

6.) 16 Apr 2025 18:09:45
Interestingly Corbyn won more votes than starmer at their respective elections…. Reform “ what won it” for Starmer.

As a business we are a PLC with appropriate governance and strategic oversight in line with our PLC obligations and audit committee guidelines.

PL as NED of Celtic PLC Boars, albeit, as Chairman will officially have no involvement in “day to day” running of the business. That is not up for debate.

Could PL and other people not officially part of the day to day running of the business at Celtic having “influence” on those who do, that is possible. Indeed it is widely accepted that our major shareholder (DD) has stepped in more that once to appoint managers. governance wise the selection of key personnel would and could only be made by the CEO or his delegates.

Hopefully, I am not conflicting the main point I’m endeavouring to make…. it’s not unusual for Chairman, especially when they are ex CEO’s or major shareholders exerting influence day to day business.

To be clear I have no doubting that PL plays by the rules and is a high performing Chairman who is the leading contributor for our tip top financial position over the past 10 years. I also have no clue what influence he holds at Celtic.

Yang has no confidence and lacks pace, ambition and desire. Not sure without scouts seen in him. Won’t become even a bit part player for us.

Our player recruitment “model” is not fit for purpose. We have won the league the past 13 out of 14… years n a poor league but not built on it… even with CL money.

We need a restructure at the business end of our club. Our top signings last year at £26 m was very poor. Do any of the three get a good rate if over the year. No. Why? In the big games they never delivered!

Respect your opinion JFP…. Always.

But on Hatate tackle it was poor play in some respects by the Aberdeen player and a bit “naughty. ” For sure he used a lot of force but it wasn’t a sending off, not sure it was even a yellow.

Reo went in very nonchalantly… he had a straight leg and no real intent. Two things the Aberdeen player didn’t need to go gung ho…. And Reo would have been better pulling out ….
