I am in a bizarre position where I am delighted that MON and SM have done a great job of turning this team around.
Its amazing how belief and support can turn things around.
However I am trying to be a realist and balance what they have done against how we move forward.
As much as I love MON, is he the guy to take us forward into a new era, turn us into a modern football club, with a proper recruitment set up, a DOF, and a modern youth set up.
To the board he would probably work, a cheaper option who maintains the status quo, against someone like Knudson who would evolve us into a modern run club and improve us in Europe.
We are at a crossroads imo where we can continue down this road and potentially have some success and the club footprint would stay the same or remain in this journey for a few months and then turn right ir left into a modern run club, with new fresh ideas, a DOF, a modern youth set up, domestic success matched by CL improvement.
It is a quandary and the more success Martin and Shaun have the easier the decision is for the board.
I am not trying to be negative after what was a great day yesterday but what happens in the next couple of weeks or months will impact on how our club moves forward, and if we are to move forward in the direction this club needs to go.

A would whoever cones in keep Maloney as No2 or def in dugout he is highly regarded as a coach. think Edd said MoN doesn't really have the fit to b a DoF, either way need to get managerial 0osition right.

We still have Inamura as back up CH too. He has barely put a foot wrong in the limited game time he's had.

I tend to agree, we are very much at a crossroads as a club.
Hypothetically, MON could deliver the treble this season.
The BUT is, in order for the club to evolve and progress they absolutely require the right manager at the helm, along with a D. O. F and an effective youth set up that involves a pathway to the first team, as you point out.
There lies the biggest challenge, for the above to materialise, the board, and only the board, can make that happen.
