I see this as a bit of a free hit for MON. My thought's are that he's coming in to stop the bleeding in the short term, and put a rocket up the players arses, as that's sorely needed in order to get this train back on track.
Whatever way you cut it, this side is playing nowhere near as well as it should.
One of the observations made by MON recently was the lack of physicality in this present Celtic team and a lot of the bhoys on this forum have said the same. I've got no doubt that will be one area he will work on.
Like the rest of you, I've got no idea how this will pan out. It's clear BR's time was up, the board aside, the current squad need to start performing all over the pitch and putting tesults together.
It's not Halloween yet so there's plenty of time, points and trophies available and that starts with tomorrow night.
We'll see how the table looks come January, MON is as experienced, intelligent and street wise as they come.
Longer term I feel a younger manager like McKenna of Ipswich could work, given time and backing. Ange had his stint and thought the grass was greener, his record since has been abysmal - that boat for me has sailed.
Time will tell.

Martin O’Neill’s sides were all big strong players that bullied other teams.

Pedro, McKenna has to be the next man in charge for me, i watched his team at the weekend fantastic to watch and his SUBS made a difference and were timed perfectly. We need a manager/ coach that will maximise what we have in our squad and i feel he may be the guy that can do that.
Either him or the Bodo manager not even going to attempt spelling his name. HH.

What about Parker at Burnley? They had a good defensive run whilst winning in the championship.

Would our club pay the wages to get them and the money to break their contracts.
McCoist trying to push e ex Celtic players, so that we would be downgrading and giving Rohl a chance.
We don't need ex players, what we need is a young, modern football playing Manager, who knows how to change tactics when things aren't going as you want.
One that plays attractive football but with a system that remains tight and secure at the back.
We definitely need to be more physical.

I read McKenna apparently has signed a contract extension so he's out.
