If true; many managers would not welcome such an ultimatum and he may have been offered an easy 'out' regaining a scrap of pride.

His pitch to the Board at interview would have centred around his vision and tactics. They surely must have been sold on his ambitions for the future and his intended direction for the Club. Hence they should have had a real insight to his ideas for the way ahead?

I heard about the situation regarding Callum Mc Gregor, the manager had a talk with Mc Cowan, Yang and Tournetki, the manager wants to play them as defenders, Mc Cowan spoke up and said that he played midfield, and that he could be looking for a transfer in January, the manager also spoke to Stevie Woods, and he was told by the manager that he did not like the work that he was doing, and Stevie Woods said he would resign, Callum Mc Gregor heard what was going on and he went to Nicholson, and he told him to get it feckin sorted out with what was happening, the atmosphere at Celtic Park is not good between manager and players.
