Fergus tried to save us from the Dictator
A lot of Celtic fans still do not think Fergus was good for Celtic because he made a profit when he left
But before that he SAVED our club and modernised Celtic Park and gave us a financial advantage over Sevco which we still have till this day
When he left he sold his shares to the Celtic fans as he did not any one person or group owning majority of shares and thus dictating direction of our club
But somehow DD managed to persuade most chare holders to sell to him and thus we were back to a dictator
DD HAS NOT been good for Celtic

Desmond and Son have a tyrannical grip of our football club, having maneuvered a posse of puppet 'yes-men' who dare not speak.
The AGM was a stage-managed show of power and control over Celtic shareholders and supporters by patronizing pontification.
The Celtic 'custodians' of yesteryear almost bankrupt the club, whereas this Cartel have financial and business acumen a=plenty, but have no comprehension of our football heritage or importance of a healthy affiliation with supporters to achieve mutual objectives.
The pending appointment of Nancy seems to be an ;inside job' with the Tidsdale connection and possibly not the candidate we wanted? Like fellow supporters, I will give him a chance. although I do not know if he has any idea of what he is getting into never mind zero knowledge of Scottish football etc etc. If he fails - and I definitely hope he doesn't, it will be yet another Board induced shortfall to add to a long list of Desmond dictated decisions.

Fergus could've made more money at Celtic if he wanted.
He gave us a timeline of 5 years and then he was selling up and Fergus stuck to that.
I've always thought that Fergus made about 5x his money but if he sold up one or two years earlier he would've made more of a profit.
