On this date 3 years ago,
Celtic beat Ross County 2-1 in the last game before a 5 week World Cup break to go 9 points clear.

A couple of hours previously Sevco needed a late dodgy VAR penalty to steal a 1-1 draw at St. Mirren and that would be GVB last game in charge.

Ross County took the lead with a very controversial penalty given by referee Dave Munro but goals by Turnbull and Haksabanovic secured another Celtic victory.

A couple of months later Sevco Supporting Journalist Johnny McFarlane let the cat out of the bag, when he mentioned that referee Dave Munro was recommended to go to the VAR screen by Euan Anderson doing VAR about the Matt O'Riley handball.

It was in the communication transcript between the referee and the VAR Official.
But for whatever reason Dave Munro dismissed the recommendation and gave the penalty.

It was kept a secret for a couple of months by in the know journalists although Scotland didn't have a domestic game for 5 full weeks.

It is hilarious reading about their Fenian conspiracies when we all know who the establishment favour.

While it is not as blatant as it used to be, it certainly has not disappeared.
