If Rodgers ignores Murray and plays trusty he'd have been slaughtered we've at least found out the boy ant got it and remember he's 22.

Any CB can give away a pen and suffer the unfortunate experience of scoring an O. G. He needs a proper run to judged not written off for one game.

He drew his leg away at the 2nd goal his og was ridiculous and the challenge at the pen was criminal, I like to see youth getting a chance but he's 22 not 17 on that showing he's not got it and Welsh probably looks the better of the 2.

Trusty has plenty own goals in him for sure. Been a couple with a few near misses. Likes a lazy leg out. Murray went hard at his at least ?.

People want us to promote lads from the academy, yet lads are getting a chance and getting chased after a bad game. Granted Murray is 22, but he needs a run of games to get match sharpness.
It says a lot where Rodgers is with Trusty tho, a player he sanctioned and cost us 6mil.
In his pre match interview, he said about Murray being right footed, but he went with Trusty and Scales away at Atalanta, two lefties. They were both brilliant that game.
Donovan got ragged by their winger, who is class act for them, if anything he’ll have learnt a lot, hopefully anyways.

Murray did not have the experience for that game.
Outside of a couple of poor appearances for us the highest level he has played at is half a season at Queens Park.
No harm to the lad but he needs to get out on and play consistently or he just becomes another Welsh.
I think Donovan has a bit more about him, but will take time.

Biggest league game of the season so far we probably needed experience in there with Ralston and Trusty. I like Murray he has good attributes he just showed inexperience at the wrong time. Saying that I don't think either mentioned would've made us play any better the team are all over the place tactically.
An away game after Europe the last think we needed to do was make things harder for ourselves giving away a penalty and OG.

Murray’s injuries means he has the football playing experience of about 19;. I agree he was at fault for 2nd goal too, in my opinion he has a habit of been dragged in too close to his own goals and so becomes the scape goat .
I was a bit surprised that he played two players beside each other with each having so little experience. Maybe either Trusty or Ralston should have been played.
