I bet you could have put a Sevco fan in charge of us this season and they would have been hard pushed to do a worse job than our current board.

25 Feb 2026 17:43:38
The list would be -

Ban Supporters because it worked 2 years ago when we dropped 10 points in 10 league games.
This season we have currently dropped 17 points in 17 games during another ban.

Push our experienced out and replace him with a Manager who lost 5 domestic games out of 7 played.

Don’t spend any money in the January window which is the first time that has happened since January 2012 excluding lockdown.

Allow that for starters and you will have a good chance of blowing 5 IAR.

25 Feb 2026 17:44:15
Love to have been a fly in our boardroom when Nancy was getting discussed, the Desmonds are very intelligent business people how and why have they let it get this bad.

25 Feb 2026 18:55:34
The Desmond’s don’t like to be questioned.

After the AGM, they have taken the decision to sabotage our season to teach the Celtic fans and Shareholders a lesson not to question them again.

No matter how this season finishes,
I’m sure the vast majority of the Celtic fans will look on DD as the villain from now on and will want him to sell his shares and move on.

25 Feb 2026 20:43:50
Just said something g similar yesterday to a couple of best mates that we could literally have sat in a room and run the club better along with recruitment we could not have been any worse, fact.

25 Feb 2026 21:47:36
The Desmond’s da and his arrogant laddie - no way back for you boy in the east end of Glasgow. Horrible c**ts - baith ae ye - you and your da - by the way Ross - if you fancy a debate you and your da are welcome on the podcast - but remember this Ross - you were out your depth at AGM and embarrassed yourself - you crossed the line - you will never be welcome in Glasgow - despite your da’s billions.

Matchday 27 - Quick Round Up

25 Feb 2026 14:59:26
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Matchday 27 - Quick Round Up

25 Feb 2026 12:32:43
I've just had a wee look online at Bodo Glimt.

The town of Bodo, in northern Norway, has a population of approx 54,000 people.

Bodo's football stadium holds just over 8,000 supporters.

Put into context;-

* Celtic Park could hold all of the residents in town of Bodo and still have 6K empty seats

* Celtic Football Club has more supporters on the waiting list for a ST than Bodo's stadiums capacity.

25 Feb 2026 13:15:07
Ross Desmond and his da look bigger ar$es with every successive Bodo Glimp result - they are very successfully swinging and no missing Ross - tell yir da.

25 Feb 2026 13:27:47
But they don't have festering rats in charge.

25 Feb 2026 14:35:51
I would guess they are run as a proper football club and not a profit cash cow for board members. If Celtic as a club don't take notice of the state of the club and change dramatically it's going to get worse. We just can't go on the way the board are running it.

25 Feb 2026 16:53:39
If their mismanagement and incompetence result in a bare season, there will be a more angry and prolonged reaction than when the Kelly's almost killed us.

25 Feb 2026 15:31:33
Wish Desmond d would just sell to someone who might actually show an interest rather than a bank balance.

25 Feb 2026 11:24:24
Here's the propaganda started before the Sevco game. Schmeichel's finished and there's interest in Nygren.

Next thing up will be Maeda and Hatate must start.

25 Feb 2026 15:52:38
Schmeichel is finished sadly. He costing us on a regular basis now.

25 Feb 2026 10:32:06
I forgot to mention yesterday that Nick Walsh will be our referee at Aberdeen next Wednesday.
Rookie Chris Graham will be doing VAR.

That will put Walsh out of the running for our Cup tie at Ibrox.
Celtic have a good record with Walsh in that fixture which is probably the reason for his exclusion.

25 Feb 2026 08:22:42
What have I just seen Joe hart in a one off keeper coaching role WHY.

25 Feb 2026 06:25:36
Could we afford the whole Bodo team manager dof, the lot, part exchange everyone of ours that direction.

25 Feb 2026 08:57:30
We could afford them no problem. The only sticking point would be ;
A, why would they want to come here?

B, if they did, do you think they could work with our board?

C, you think our board would have the enthusiasm to appoint them and let them run things?

D, we would be far down the list of Clubs who would want to tap them.

25 Feb 2026 10:19:37
Only on loan deals .

25 Feb 2026 12:22:26
Very impressive again in Europe, at the highest level, from the Norwegians.

To go to Italy and beat Inter on the night and 5-2 on aggregate takes some doing.

This is no flash in tye pan either, they've consistently demonstrated they can punch well above their weight with the big guns.

If we don't have individuals at Celtic Park looking at this, planning to go over to Norway and see their set up/ facilities etc then what's the point?

{Ed007's Note - Model ourselves on a club that came 2nd in the Norwegian league? Would the Celtic support back any manager/system that lost a league or won 3 out the last 5, 4 out of the last 10?}

25 Feb 2026 12:50:48
Ed, we don't have a footballing operation in place, as you're clearly aware.

Therefore, if a team with a stadium that holds just over 8K fans, in a town with approx 54K people, can perform over the past few seasons in the CL and get results like they have, why would we not look at their model?

Afterall, this season we've turned a one horse race into a 3 horse race that we're currently last in.

{Ed007's Note - Would Celtic fans ever accept not winning the league, does a manager survive not winning the league? Is winning 3 league titles out 5 a model we should be aiming to replicate?
Look at the reaction to us being in that 3 horse race with everything to play for.}

25 Feb 2026 13:23:33
The main problem would be the supporters who would demand instant success and would be throwing balls onto the field and chanting sack the board.

25 Feb 2026 18:15:26
Ed,

perhaps I've not been clear enough with the point I'm attempting to make re Bodo.

I'm referring specifically to possible aspects of the model that the club utilises, whether that is in;- coaching, player developmemt, transfer market - whatever elements of that footballing structure works, are there parts that our club could mirror or adopt?

Perhaps a DOF would be a good starting point?

Clearly we have little, if any, structure to talk about. We've regressed this season, in particular, in almost every metrics on the field and it's no coincidence we've conceded more goals than in previos seasons, scored less than in previous seasons and find ourselves with a depleted first team squad in a dog fight to retain the league title.

We already have the financial resources to revolutionise our structure as well as the first team squad, therefore, IMO, with such a structure in place we would again make far lighter work of the domestic games which would allow us to make gains on the European front.

{Ed007's Note - I get all that Ped but it doesn't get away from the fact that they struggle to dominate their domestic game, this is the first year they've managed to qualify for the CL and because they didn't win the league it looks like they will really struggle to qualify next year. It's all a bit MOTD Feverish for me blinded by their (impressive) European results.
I'm not saying we couldn't learn from them but there's plenty of other teams out there we could say the same about. Why not go to Motherwell or Hibs and ask why they continually produce better young players than us, the answer is simple, the play games, they're allowed to make mistakes and learn, the Celtic support will never accept 2nd best and they never give players - especially youngsters - a chance. That's the basic concept at all these clubs Celtic fans want us to emulate.
We've got players at 23 still considered youngsters whereas other clubs have 19/20 years old pushing to have played 100 SPFL games easily.
I'm not getting into the DOF chat mate, I am actually at the point in life I bore myslef with it! 😂

25 Feb 2026 20:01:46
I agree with you, whether Bodo and a host of other clubs, locally or a few hours on a plane, for all I know we could be doing this already but I very much doubt it.

I used to work for a European company that had facrories in a few different countries, who were involved in the drinks industry.

The General Manager, in charge of production, visited his counter part in Japan, I think it was Toyota, to see first hand how their processes worked and if he could implement any of them across his factories to improve efficiency.

Not surprisingly, he got different hints/ tips/ process improvements practically ever year and it paid dividends.

This is not rocket science and there's plenty we could learn from other teams as well as other sports.

I pray we can get rid of DD, his t. i. t of a boy and this current board - no survivors. Put in place a board with the interests of everyone connected to and invested in the success and progress of Celtic Football Club, domestically and in Europe.

{Ed007's Note - I honestly don't see any realistic way of getting rid of DD and I've said that all along but what I hope is that once the GB situation is sorted out that the Fans Collective can force him to rethink how the Club is ran and the people doing it - the people "against" the Fans Collective forget that it was started before the GB ban, their aims will continue regardless.
DD, rightly or wrongly, has the power to reset the Club, we don't even need his money, that's the galling bit to me and other fans I talk to - why he doesn't want us to be the best version of ourselves actually baffles me Ped.}

25 Feb 2026 21:01:02
I agree. That's the bit that gets me. I wish DD was more involved to see the mess the people he trusts have made of the place. He should come and stay in Glasgow till the end of the season and meet the collective see for himself what has been going on.

He wouldn't let half of the negligence that's happened to Celtic happen in his other businesses.

{Ed007's Note - DD isn't making money out of Celtic, that's a proven myth so what is the long game, would he accept an OTT offer for his shares even though he has said his family will never sell.
Something Fergus McCann promised would never happen again btw, Celtic being in control of one man/family.}

24 Feb 2026 21:59:58
Bodo just went to Italy, beat inter in their own back yard. Some result.

25 Feb 2026 01:09:08
Norway also hammered Italy home and away in the World Cup Qualifiers.

Bodo Glimt had 19 Norwegian’s in their squad at the San Siro.
The Ath. Madrid striker who got a hat trick against Brugges is also Norwegian.
I can see them having a great World Cup.

25 Feb 2026 06:34:45
Their past five European results are something we can only dream of with this board. Celtic park is nothing but a tourist tick box in Europe and has been for a long time.

Fair play to Bodo, could see when we played them years ago what they were building and it's only got better.

25 Feb 2026 09:40:12
Yet funny thing is players have left and not made it but went back and slipped in seamlessly to their system.

24 Feb 2026 19:22:28
For both Mcoist and Ferguson to come out and say it was never a red just shows you how bad a decision it was. corrupt to the core this lot as it always has been .

24 Feb 2026 20:47:58
Stevie they where using that as a catalyst to complain actually about the var end of sevco game imo.

25 Feb 2026 10:04:38
Those who say get rid of VAR have short memories. The cheating was even worse before. At least now it is highlighted and they can't pretend it's anything other than corrupt anymore.

Celtic should have a huge "dossier" on events and specific referees, who have shown themselves to be blatantly biased against our club. They should also demand these individuals are nowhere near officiating in our games, or there could be legal implications.

I would love to see foreign refs operating in Scotland, selected by their home nation. At the very least, we should be demanding VAR is independent of SFA control, where the cheating scum are effectively marking their own homework.

Although it's been going on for decades, as a club, we sit quietly complicit, while our superiority continues to deliver trophies. If as is their belief, "Scottish Football needs a competitive Sevco" we should simply look for another league to join.

Another huge failure on the shoulders of our pathetic Board.

24 Feb 2026 18:37:47
Trusty red card not reminded, first piece of the jigsaw has been put in place the other piece is Beaton and McLean being appointed for sevco game and lastly guaranteed penalty and red card incoming. Every former referee have said it not red, obviously the appeal panel loaded as well.

They call us paranoid, just look at both Beaton and McLeans previous games absolutely anti their team Sevco. CORRUPTION on a National scale.

24 Feb 2026 19:02:36
Beaton and McLean have partnered up 3 times since January 25th.
Hearts and Celtic got a man sent off and also Sevco have played against 10 men.
Going for 4 in a row.

{Ed007's Note - Practise makes perfect, Buzz....

24 Feb 2026 19:17:39
Celtic tolerate it and so it not only continues, but escalates. No other team in world football has to deal with a conveyor belt of bigoted officials tantamount to match fixing. Our Board have many, many faults and failings and never defending the club or challenging obvious prejudice including the old random fixtures and fixed draws, Admittedly, most of our problems have been self-inflicted, but even the most passive and pragmatic must see the patterns.

25 Feb 2026 17:32:19
In my opinion Celtic should call out the cheating cause that's what it is.

Collum is just a lap dog to his Rangers supporting masters.

Why don't Celtic refuse to pay their contribution to VAR as it is not fit for purpose especially with those currently in charge making the final calls.

VAR re-refereeing the Trusty sending off was shocking.

25 Feb 2026 18:34:48
Trusty sending offs.

Both Hearts and Hibs decisions were made by ref and with no "OBVIOUS" error in each, VAR should not be involved.

Put Sevco facing cheats in charge though and the rest is history.
