Results aside, what was thoughts on formation change, for me didn’t work, issue for me was glaring whole game, tonetki meada Nygren calmac (Bernardo not so sure) add subs to it and none of them spotted forward pass/ runs at any point and opted easy pass, this meant not getting through lines and recycling ball constant (Nygren mad the run consistently) runs aside he offered not much entire game.

For far too long our back four and midfield opt for the easy pass ) usually side or back) and slow the game down. One of the few midfielders who looked to play forward was MOR but too many others are being influenced too much by the captain.
I think our wide players are also encouraged to cut back too often.
I remember the manager saying during his first stint, that the support would have to learn to be patient as keeping possession was more important. Unfortunately, we have become tippy-tappy and safety first. However the amount of times the fannying about has led to mistales and even conceding goals is there for all to see.

I don't think I can watch this Celtic team any more. Its been months and months of awful football. The problem has to be the coaching and its needs changed asap.

We pretty much agree the midfield is a problem.

Nygren - passive
Engels - passive
McGregor - passive
Hatate - passive

Forrest, Tounetchi, McCowan seem to show a wee bit of interest but where's the snarling, creative, penetrating midfield we used to know? Where's Fortress Parkhead?

I've also noticed the time we dwell on the ball before passing it - if we can get back to the one touch we used to have we would be a far better side.

We can say what we want about the board but the players deserve as much flak as anyone. Senior players like Mcgregor, schmeichel, tierney and even hatate and maeda have been embarrassing. The lot of them need cleared out.
The only player with pass marks this season has been Scales, if that doesn't ring alarm bells i don't know what will.
We can demand this player and that player be dropped but who comes in? The players on the bench every week are every bit as rank rotten.
And the shot of Nicholson and Lawwell on their phones during the match says it all. No interest in being there. Likely texting each other how much they think they will get for Tounetki in January.
Even the sight of that Lawwell makes my blood boil now. Get him to @#$%.
The fact he won't be present and this upcoming meeting is telling.

There’s serious questions on management staff to be had here aswell, clear out I’m not so sure, we’ve determined all new players bar one aren’t better and senior player clear out needed according to u would mean most of team, we are where we are, which is drastically out of form and 2-3 months off form imo, up to staff to accelerate us into form.

Our midfield players have no fight. McGregor needs dropped but replaced with who? The others are no better. I'm watching the other lot tonight and tbh they are a better outfit than us which I find difficult to say. I know we are 7 points better off but easily caught the way we are playing.

Watching as well thinking if we don't get our act together they will beat us in the semifinal. I have always tried to be positive leaving meltdowns to the rangers who do them so well but This seasons performances and particularly tonight don't leave room for positivity. After our game was hoping the rangers could help the coefficient but wasnt to be.

Nygren isn't a CM, Maeda isn't a RW, Iheanacho isn't a CF. Tierney has done nothing so far and Saracchi looks better when he's played. Maeda, Hatate and McGregors form has fell off a cliff. CCV has looked ropey all season and Kasper had an absolute shocker of a game. Tounetki looks the only positive in attack but he's keeping last seasons player of the year out of his position. I expected that result tonight so this post isn't off the back of that loss. The team look so disjointed mainly down to the midfield. Lots of headaches to sort out as we hardly look a threat at all going forward apart from Tounetki but he's getting 2 or 3 men on him later in games.

Unfortunately Tierney was finished before he came back to Celtic. The fact that we signed shows this. If he had been anywhere near fitness he would be anywhere near Celtic. He's back because no one else would take a chance on him.

It's probably the first time in my life I have lost excitement for watching Celtic. I used to be buzzing for every game, proper up for it and confident in our ability to get results and put on a show.

After our great efforts in Europe last year I expected us to kick on and make a mark. The boards horrible decision making and lack of urgency has killed us so many times in positions of strength and I just can't be arsed with it anymore - like everyone else.

I'm not sure if the players are feeling the same way and that's what's dragging us down. They must feel utterly demoralised at the state of the club and the lack of ambition being shown. They know exactly how the fans feel and all the Ex players are saying the same thing.

Saying that they get paid obscene amounts of money to put on a show and it seems they can't be arsed either. It's embarrassing.

Calum McGregor' interview in the first Almaty game summed it up "the players are nervous". What are you talking about, what kind of captain ever says something like that? Never mind a Celtic captain. You can feel it in the way we play its consistent nerves. It sums up McGregors backwards passes, he knows he can make a 3 yard pass to the CB but always fecks up every ball he plays forward. Then to sun up Rodgers tactics. At what point is he going to realise what's being played isn't working. How long has our midfield been missing, we've failed to get results against Sevco for a while now and they're the worst they have been in years.

Terrible from the captain, players, manager, board and club.

Utter garbage from front to back and top to bottom.

Board manager coaching staff all carry blame but who identifies And buys this never ending stream off (being polite ) average to poor players.

{Ed007's Note - The general consensus over the last decade or so is that if a player has a good game it was the manager that signed him but if he misplaces a pass in the game it was Lawwell or the latest term, a "Club" signing.}

It's something that needs clarifying as if it's the same one or two people then it needs changing and if it's a different person every year then we're goosed.

Its been going on far too long. Even going back to Lennon and Deila.
For every van dijk and wanyama we have signed 5 marvin commpers and 5 kouassi eboues.
On the field this model has been holding the club back years if not decades but works for Lawwell and co. because they only need 1 decent signing in 10 to make money.
Our recruitment will only change when there is changes at the top.

We were poor. We are poor. Rogers taking the huff about Shin was a mistake. McGreggor needs replaced in the middle. We need a player who can win the ball and drive forward. All Calum is doing is pass it back then tell everyone else to pass it forward. Engels had the ball about 8 seconds. Did his usual eff all with it. he's been that bad he doesn't look like a £3m player never mind £11m. It is sad to witness the demise of a team, but that is what we have witnessed for 10 months. The league is on a knife edge. All self inflicted as usual. The issue for me, is even if the board agree to spend, I have zero belief in Rogers player picks. He keeps playing McGreggor who has been woeful. Hatate who has been woeful. I read with amusement some who talked about a good run in the EL. With our squad in the form we are in, we will be lucky to get 6 points. I had hoped form would be regained, we put some points in the bag, tool up in January and win the last two games. I wasnt even surprised last night. That sums uo where we are. I'm going outside now. I may he some time.

We are in bother for the SPL.

You can't play football without a midfield.

I got slated for saying we need Four starters before the league commenced or we would be in bother for SPL and CL. I also called out Kasper at that time. Minimum of 5 changes.

We don't have the team .

No pace. No energy. No creativity and none to tackle.

Pitiful team.

I will repeat a post from me around 4 weeks ago. This is the worst team I have seen since 1969. When I started watching. No doubting our 69 team were better than this mob.

Our problems run deep. Board, manager, scouting/ recruitment and this rubs off on players then transcends to the fans. We have recruited badly for a number of windows and the players we have now are downgrades and/ or have run their course. I've been saying since start of last season that CCV and several other long serving players were on the wane if not actually spent and Kasper was becoming a liability - 1 season too many. That we spent £5m on Balikwisha and he is behind a Maeda who can't be 4rsed, Yang who is a 4/ 10 player and Jamesy who has been past his best for 4 years tells a story. Not sure we have 1 midfielder at the club I'd happily say was good enough. This could be a long season.

Our squad has been poorly managed with over half of them approaching 30 or over 30.

I have stated a few times that we should have moved on 2-3 of our older players this window, as they were at peak value and in demand.

However, we failed to do that and also failed to strengthen important attacking areas.
