I see the clamour to get the Green Brigade in Celtic Park for play off games, I agree here is what I would do
to give us extra firepower I would play 10 GB in attack to shore up our midfield play 40 there and for our defence another 60 at the back
Let them beat that starting 110 lol.
07 Apr 2026 11:42:43
GB back on Saturday.
07 Apr 2026 11:55:56
I would urge EVERY SEASON TICKET HOLDER to not renew IF the GB aren't in situ for the run in. Forget all this rubbish about SAG. it's DD and probably more so his son (Reminds me of the Thompsons, anyone from Glasgow will know what I mean) . Absolute spite. We need to put the club first!
07 Apr 2026 12:22:03
Lkenny, is that confirmed? I was on the Zoom meeting last week for the collective, Martin said it was progressing but nothing confirmed.
07 Apr 2026 13:02:56
CelticDavie, I thought you were referring to The Thompsons who were in The Biscuit TinTin.
07 Apr 2026 15:02:37
No, stengo. The ones from Blackhill. š.
07 Apr 2026 20:25:47
Aye Jamie.
06 Apr 2026 17:23:38
Regardless of our thoughts on Calmacs form, bottom line is he's starting every game till the end of the season so big question is beside who? Probably Nygren and a. n. other. whether its Ox, Reo or Engles, or probably see all 5 at some point during each game.
I think one of MONs main focus during international break was to sit with Cal and Ox and really ask/ tell them that you 2 are going to drive this team to the title. Are both of you up for it and fit enough?
07 Apr 2026 00:13:31
Engels ahead of ox every single day of the week and its not even close.
07 Apr 2026 12:06:57
Everyone was slagging Engels but now heās been out injured Iām sure everyone can see what he brings to the team and how much he is missed he makes it look easy thatās why he doesnāt get the respect he deserves heās our best midfielder and should be in control of the tempo and dictate play but sadly calmac has to play every game even when heās rubbish.
07 Apr 2026 12:25:29
Engels isn't rubbish and he isn't our best midfielder he's usually just ok / average. I've not seen a single game where he has been outstanding or even really good. and if people like angels contributed more calmac wouldn't be the scapegoat getting hung out to dry by a lot of fans. if both at they're best calmac is head and shoulders above him.
07 Apr 2026 13:38:49
Calmac is not better than Engels or even Hatate to be honest, maybe 3 or 4 year ago he was.
Calmac is simply finished - played too much football, not enough rest and wouldnāt even be a squad player for me nowadays.
He is so slow, his passing is horrendous which was his strong point years ago.
Itās a real shame cause he was always a decent player to have in the team.
Like many have said the team in general is a disgrace and somehow we are still in with a chance of being champions.
Noticed Sevco got Hearts the week before us in the split fixtures.
07 Apr 2026 17:45:14
Calmac is not slow but he is a far more effective player further forward. It would also help our speed of play moving him forward but we don't really have a proper sitting midfielder available.
So we need to change the system or we'll continue to be out-muscled in midfield.
06 Apr 2026 15:41:35
I've always wondered how players who are going to world Cup are affected by this? I sure some get the bounce and kick on, by same measure there will be some who become worried about getting injured which affects form. I was thinking about Nygren but he doesn't need to worry about injury as he doesn't tackle. š¤£.
06 Apr 2026 13:39:05
How many goals would Shankland have scored for us this year if we signed him for free last summer. Said at the time was a no brainer (as a back up striker) and if it didn't work no big deal. We would be clear leaders with any decent CF.
And although slow he would have had at least 2 yesterday. Yeah, he's not Celtic class etc but neither is anyone we have and he would have cost a lot less in wages than Adamau, Tvanvara.
06 Apr 2026 15:14:00
Absolutely! As MON would say.
06 Apr 2026 15:40:01
If only, what if and why didn't we? could be the title of our Mission Statement.
06 Apr 2026 17:11:00
See Johnny Kenny scored again, should have kept him instead of the strikers brought in š.
06 Apr 2026 17:38:52
Well thatās a very good point.
06 Apr 2026 20:03:10
Johnny Kenny is playing at his level and even then he isnāt exactly setting things alight.
Let him go and build a career in lower tiers of England.
06 Apr 2026 23:23:20
Hooper not spring to mind š.
07 Apr 2026 17:33:42
Comparing Kenny to Hooper isnāt even at option in my opinion.
Hooper was signed for what £2.5 million and that was 15 years ago.
Kenny is what £500k to a million at best and has proven he is not capable of playing in the SPL already.
Who knows what a couple of years of consistent football will get him but he aināt getting that at Celtic ever. He had a chance and never took it. And the same will be said about the apparent Ā£6 and Ā£7 million valued loan strikers that are not up to it either.
06 Apr 2026 12:10:32
The conspiracy season has started
My ex bears want Hearts v Sevco to be final game as they are convinced this will be title decider, Celtic are totally dismissed, as they think the first game after break will be Celtic v Sevco they are confident of victory, leaving them to overtake Hearts
Let us see if SPFL fall into line.
06 Apr 2026 12:59:07
I just read right there that team top of SPFL at break traditionally gets last game at home, so Hearts are that team unless Sevco or Celtic are top but Celtic would require a big goals swing and just now we are not scoring a lot of goals
Bad news also the Greeks Olympiakos blew their title so if Sevco win league they go straight into groups with £30m prize
Us and Hearts will need to qualify.
06 Apr 2026 13:05:51
Heard the sevco game is the 9th or 10th.
06 Apr 2026 11:58:54
Yesterday was a bit of a repeat of what we have seen most season. Too many sideways passes, missed chances and vulnerable from crosses. The only "flair" players we have Tounetki and Hatate remained benched which was odd, albeit both have only fleeting moments of positive play.
Cvancara, Adamu, Mvuka together must rank as the worst bit of business we have ever done, who actually believed they could improve us? Truly baffling.
06 Apr 2026 12:26:45
Chinks on those 3, mon hedged his bets that players who have had decent money moves, played bigger better leagues would be better than a manwanisie, Bowie, etc etc
I donāt blame him, the market is rank with mediocre players demanding stupid fees, I include the manwanise ( off boil ) and Bowie ( off boil after move ) in that.
Where money needs spent is probably on scouting, overseas club link ups and real actual domestic development, our club has not even close to any set up that could produce on any of those fronts,
Oh add data analysis ( pay top dollar for those who know wat there doing on that front )
06 Apr 2026 13:08:31
Mcgregor scales Donovan ralston mccowan cvancara were brutal yesterday, and can't understand why hatate and tounekti who does well when he comes on never got a sniff, hopefully engles is fit for run In and iheanacho can make an impact after a good goal yesterday.
07 Apr 2026 07:02:25
Mally ox isnāt working in that midfield, he undoubtedly has something but for me itās him or Nygren as both leave other 2 exposed so they canāt be on park same time, Engels in there I think would be great, reo could be a league winner for us against teams like hearts and Rangers, against others heās went missing, with injuries, poor windows, background noise at club, fan bans, itās a miracle we are in this league still, winner will be worst winner in 40 years if not longer
We still have everything we need to go win league, itās just every time you think they can kick on they donāt.
07 Apr 2026 07:51:49
Yep engles and hatate got to play mcgregor will play because he's the captain Martin will be hoping the fact 4 games at home will suit callum on a decent surface and bigger pitch, rb is an issue for me Donovan and ralston are not good enough.
06 Apr 2026 11:39:19
Hey my friends importante victory yesterday.
Now is chance to put some pressure on next weekend you know.
Enrico hope that goal yesteday gives Iheanacho a lift and he can score a few more before end of season.
Hail Hail guys.
06 Apr 2026 12:08:16
Good to hear from you pal š.
06 Apr 2026 15:33:08
Thank you Buzz my friend Enrico hopes you are well.
06 Apr 2026 18:32:38
Cool Buddy š.
06 Apr 2026 09:02:51
Iāve been quite the critic of McGregor for some time. Absolutely brilliant player on his day but been below average for over 2 years now.
I keep repeating myself on this one but the Kairat game was the nail in the coffin for me. What Celtic captain comes out and says live on TV after a first tie draw that the players are Anxious. There hasnāt been a Celtic captain in history that claims fear or anxiety of playing another opponent.
06 Apr 2026 20:51:06
A shrinking violet isn't captain material at a club like Celtic. If the leader is anxious then it has a ripple effect on the players around him. He should be leading by example and setting the tone like Broony used to do.
06 Apr 2026 07:39:14
{Ed's Note - LFC-S MANGO has posted a new article entitled, Slot Cannot Be the Only One Blamed
06 Apr 2026 03:57:20
Just watching big Sammy slotting it in. No pitch invasion. Show respect! ;
05 Apr 2026 20:03:28
OUR Captain deserves all the Celtic fans support
I have read over the past few weeks McGregor getting it large from some posters on here, I feel they are judging Callum on his recent performances, which to be fair, have been poor, but so too has most of the present squad.
Callum over past what 5/ 6 years has been one of our better players and now his performances have dipped compared to his own high standards he is a target for the boo boys
In fairness to the boy, let him captain us to the title (Hopefully) and then let him leave with dignity and our thanks.
{Ed007's Note - CalMac has been honking in Europe since Brown left, he was never a CDM and again since Brown left that has been more & more obvious and he isn't getting any younger. It's hardly a dip, it's been a steep trajectory.
Being realistic about a player isn't being a boo-boy, if you want to talk the talk you need to walk the walk and he goes missing far too much in big games, he's easily physically bullied and his craving for every move to come through him is taking a lot of urgency out the team.}
05 Apr 2026 20:39:17
Timalloy i'm not a boo bhoy i call it as i see it callum mgregor passes the ball either side to side or backwards. drive us to a title after watching him the last couple of seasons his gears must be stuck because theirs no driving he is in reverse. what Celtic captain do you know after everything that has happened this season playing against a piss poor hearts and Rangers team wouldn't have grab these games by the scruff of the neck.
i'm sure today that's the first we have won in the city of dundee this season. haven't beaten hearts or Rangers in the league this year. scott brown would have had us winning these games as a captain.
05 Apr 2026 21:07:43
I just think all Callums good performances are being forgotten, his goals have won us many a game, he was a first pick both for Scotland and Celtic and the number of games he played without a decent rest went against him.
Broonie was a different type of player but both players led Celtic with distinction
As to the CDM position, surely the manager must take responsibilty if a player is not suitable to play there
Sadly I cannot see Callum being a first pick next season but I thank him for all his past service to Celtic.
{Ed007's Note - I can't argue with any of that either Timbo, I just think the "boo boys" tag was bit much imo, he's done his bit for the Club no doubt.}
05 Apr 2026 21:37:09
Iām a massive Calmac fan and Celtic are worse without him.
05 Apr 2026 21:45:44
I seem to remember Scott Brown starting all this sideways passing.
05 Apr 2026 22:45:07
The mindset of the entire team seems to be one of fear, nobody wants to take responsibility. That is entirely on the board and failure to maintain let alone improve the squad. CM is trying to do too much but that is because the arse wipes above him have done too little.
A few quality additions pulls the team up, lack of quality sucks the life out. Everyone knows where the problems at Celtic FC lie, the sooner we can get them gone, the sooner we start rectifying the problems.
05 Apr 2026 23:05:49
I think at the moment he looks way off his best possibly due to rarely getting a rest as we donāt have the squad depth.
05 Apr 2026 23:19:18
Maybe if we had bought better players to back him up. but sadly the biscuit tin is welded shut.
06 Apr 2026 00:25:28
Not often a disagree with you Buzz but your the man with the stats and a think most of games Calmac has missed this season Celtic have won, agree with Edd a honestly can't remember him havn a good game in Europe bcoz of btr quality players than Spl.
06 Apr 2026 10:54:51
Father Time has caught up with him.
Heās a liability and has been for a while now. Scoring the odd goal now and again is no longer getting him pass marks.
One of many that needs moved on.
His decline in the last 2 years has been major an not helped either with every manager having to play him, he must have some clause in his contract cause no one plays that poorly consistently and still get picked.
