Delighted KT has agreed to return. Don't fully understand manager saying he is disappointed Valle has left? Surely if we had a 12 month loan deal he is our player unless we agree to early termination, strange one that.

When KT left I recall him saying he'd never rule out a return to Celtic. I remember hoping that he would because we'd get a guy with great experience, a winning mentality, and fine skills.

{Ed007's Note - I remember KT in his final year at Celtic talking about worries he might have to retire because of his injuries - then look at the injuries he's had since?
Great experience, a winning mentality, fine skills and struggles to stay fit... if he was a ginger he would be another James McCarthy..

28 Jan 2025 21:22:12
I see you are taking it well Ed ??.

{Ed007's Note - Facts are facts.

28 Jan 2025 21:32:29
I’m delighted with the latest KT news.
He will be an exceptional addition to an already great squad.

One of our own has come home and his amazing love for Celtic Glasgow FC can’t be denied.

{Ed007's Note - Birthday caird pish!

28 Jan 2025 21:43:35
If, and it's a big IF, Tierney keeps fit then he'll be a good addition to the squad but I have my doubts. If we don't add a proven striker to the squad and not a project, then we will have come out of this window weaker. I've my fingers and toes crossed for quality additions ??.

28 Jan 2025 21:46:14
Ha Ha Ed
Time will tell ?‍♂️.

{Ed007's Note - We should have went for Luke Shaw.

28 Jan 2025 21:55:29
Valle probably wants to move on where he’s going to get game time. Probably looks at Como as a club building n wants to give it a bash. Least the lad isn’t getting pissed about any longer.

28 Jan 2025 22:25:07
Just spat my tea out edd??.

{Ed007's Note - Well it is, most Celtic fans were delighted to get £25m for KT because we all knew he was jiggered then, his problems haven't got any better and not one Celtic fan can explain to me how we will "manage his fitness"

28 Jan 2025 22:26:37
'He signed when he was 7, it filled his ? with joy' Kieran Tierney, Kieran Tierney

☘️ ? ☘️.

{Ed007's Note - Another Pub League failure coming back with his tail between his legs looking to regain the love from his teenage like groupies, like Robbie rejoing Take That...

28 Jan 2025 22:27:35
KT #h u n skelper

Greg sign new contract plays as many games kt, is my guess how this might work, kt obv plays the bigger games, 8 cl games 2 cup finals 2 semis,4 derbys 8 to 10 other league games, leaves approx 6 cup ties 20 ish league games and large number sub appearances for Greg . This is obv a made up on spot opinion.

{Ed007's Note - There's absolutely no guarantee what you suggest will work, again it's made up fairytale pish, what happens if KT gets clattered in a game or breaks down in training? Opposition teams will still be targeting our weak LB position. Can we ask our opponents to go easy on him in a cup game because we have a CL game due?
Should Celtic be signing players that can only play in "the bigger games"?

28 Jan 2025 22:48:28
I cried a lot when kt left. it's made my year he's coming back. 2025 is going to be amazing. # hesoneofourown. And also praying for kyogos future success. #irreplacable.

28 Jan 2025 22:53:37
Oh Ed, you're going for it ??.

{Ed007's Note - Am I wrong though, that's the point?

28 Jan 2025 22:54:13
A know how to manage his fitness Edd play him 4 games a season against Sevco n that’s it and hope and pray he doesn’t get injured ?‍♂️.

{Ed007's Note - He'll get clattered and be off injured by half time

28 Jan 2025 22:54:31
Ed if I remember right, you were the biggest fan when we signed James McCarthy. ?.

{Ed007's Note - I learnt my lesson, obviously Celtic haven't.

28 Jan 2025 23:14:16
Aw naw a rembered a wanted McCarthy and big Duffy and looked how that turned out, so that fact a didn't want KT or Jota a hope am Wrong Again ?.

29 Jan 2025 06:33:26
Yeah, I also wanted us to sign McCarthy when he was at Hamilton ?

☘️ ? ☘️.

We need Fitness Guru Andy back to tell us how to
keep KT fit and able to play week in week out.

29 Jan 2025 08:19:17
I think most fans hope that KT can stay injury free but I am with Ed as I think it is unlikely.

No one is denying he is a top quality player when he is not injured and he has an emotional attachment to the club.

However, if he is injured most of the time and we don't get a good run of games out of him, then is he good value at 35k per week?

We are taking a big gamble on this one.

29 Jan 2025 09:12:03
I hope he is not being given an obscene salary.

29 Jan 2025 06:38:45
Ed I respect your opinions always have, even with KTs injury problems he still features way more than Mccarthy. it's a bit harsh IMO to compare both players, I mean other than his sighting at Hamilton the other week, does Mccarthy still live in this country? KT is back wether folk like it or not, I hope he can stay fit as much as possible and can make a considerable contribution to the team, but in all fairness, any player can get injured at any time, whatvwe need to do is get behind the player.

{Ed007's Note - Maybe Boeriggter is a better example then, when was the last time Celtic signed a player and everyone's main concern is if he can stay fit and how many matches he will manage to play - if this was any other player with the same injury history we were signing the support would be in an uproar but because of who it is we've all to act like Taylor Swift fans or lovesick schoolgirls about it?
Where's all the Celtic fans that were happy we sold KT because we all knew his career was on a downward spiral with injuries - and that was in 2019 - all the "I heard from someone at Lennoxtown that KT's hips are done" etc?
There's a reason Arsenal didn't trigger the year extension on KT's contract making sure they would get at least some money back on the £25m they wasted on him and it isn't that he doesn't suit Arteta's style of play.}

29 Jan 2025 14:10:51
If KT stayed fit and was playing games for arsenal every week he’d be in the top 5 left backs on the planet at this stage of his career.

His injuries held him back he had everything to be a superstar apart from the hips!

29 Jan 2025 14:59:19
What I would say Ed is since KT left Taylor has done OK, but LB seems to be one of the positions in our team that we've serious issues in dealing with, that and a DM in the broony mould.

{Ed007's Note - Taylor is nowhere near as poor a player as a lot of Celtic fans would have you believe, in the 6 years Taylor has been here the Club haven't came up with anyone better, every player they have brought in he has seen off and kept his place in the team.}

29 Jan 2025 18:13:48
What makes K T one of our own, certainly not loyalty . If he was one of our own he wouldn’t with his history of injuries be putting the club at risk of paying out millions in wages for only occasional games played .
He and Celtic won’t get insurance to cover the limbs that have been injured and caused playing time to be missed, as the insurance company will have them excluded as pre- existing conditions.
