Dunno if anyone agrees, but it was accepted that the board weren't happy when DD brought BR back. Knowing he had a year left, does anyone else think the board already hit reset in summer window, to limit spending, so the next manager had more resource for transfers? Save now pay later, and hope we hold on to league just now.

What a mess we are in but they are somehow worse.
The only thing where they are better than us is that they can score goals.
I have no idea who is going to score the goals that will win us the league.

Hearts are a better team than us. Half their players walk into our team. In fact on recent performances we are not much better than anyone else in the league.

Ed I stated in my post that this current squad are not good enough to win the league as it stands . But come the transfer window in January maybe just maybe the board might invest in a real quality right winger and out and out striker then things could change . we live in hope.
{Ed007's Note - I disagree, the squad we have is good enough to win this league, are they playing to their full capabilities/potential , no - is the manager's team elctions & tactics helping the matter, again no.
Do the manager and players need to get their finger out and start showing pride in the jersey and earning their money, 100%. Going to play teams like Dundee are where we should be bleeding a couple of youngsters into the team with game time and instead we're watching CCV & CalMac stink out the joint - AGAIN!}

The bookies have us as clear favourites. They do this for a living. Admittedly I am fed up with 80% possession and 2 shots on target but to say that we will not win the league is palpably nonsense.

It’s utterly madness and stinks of entitlement that some right off league after 1 loss, br has had poor patches and was especially slow to get team going in his first season back, we need to embrace the challenge,

We will win the league this season I don't doubt it for 1 second. I do think rodgers is too blame for the way we are playing at the minute. But I reckon we will beat Hearts next week and hopefully then we will go on a run.

The team needs abit of freshness from middle to front as we are absolutely toothless from middle to front. That's why I stated I would like to see a few quality players coming in January. I would say that am not the only fan who wants that also.
{Ed007's Note - 100% and I'll throw this out there, I'd bring Maloney into the coaching staff to freshen that side of things up, with his experience he's wasted what he's doing imo. And no, I'm not saying he should replace Rodgers or anyone else but the guy was a manager himself and worked under Martinez and could add a new voice/opinion in there.}

I agree with your assessment Ed.
However, my fear is that confidence and morale in our squad is low and the negativity surrounding the club is only going to make it worse.
We need to do something to stop the rot and the only thing I see working is some board members being punted and the remaining ones making promises that they can be held accountable over.
{Ed007's Note - It's down to the manager and players to find their confidence and pride, where's our on field leaders, why's morale so low, because the board didn't sign players to replace some of them? Where's there any grit and determination to fight to get on top in games? These are professional players that have been over the course, they know how to win leagues, how to grind out results because we've seen it time & time again. Earn your wage, simple as that, that includes the manager/coaches & players, if you've not got the bottle for the fight for Celtic & professional pride then at least do it for the £ hitting your account every month, get your heads down and at least show effort.}

In regard to the comment earlier about the bookies always getting it right; yesterday the tribute act from Ibrox were 22/ 1 to win the league tonight they are 16/ 1.
And you can be sure that has nothing to do with the way they playing currently, and everything to do with the way we are playing.
Let’s not have another covid season and hand it them on a plate. Regarding today, if Johnston, Jota, Maeda and Bernardo play we win that game with ease.

I'm not convinced we will win the league. We've been honkin' for ages. I don't want them to win it but if we do win the league it would be hollow and papers over the majority fault lines at our club. I honestly can't see the current playing staff upping their game.
