Ed and all here, why's everyone so bitter, review the posts below, Idah is rubbish, Taylor and Kyōgo Furuhashi are Rats, Forrest is lazy, Scales is a rubbish defender, critical about jota coming back. Is this really a Celtic group! So far Won the league cup, achieved the knock outs in the European cup, potential league winners .
I know the app is all about personal opinions but why is everyone so on the negative and rage about individuals? What exactly do you really want?

Supporters have always been the same for as long as I can remember and that goes for all fanbase’s.

You get all types of people that are super positive or mega negative and everything else in between.

I can understand why some of the negativity annoys you though because Celtic are currently in our most successful period in our history.

But it would be boring if we all agreed with each other and that’s what makes the site successful.
I don’t think our debates get nasty or too personal because Ed wouldn’t allow it.
We all need to be a little thick skinned though with some of the banter.

Completely agree LeedsCelt. It’s a fantastic time to be a Celtic supporter. Not quite 1967 but definitely a golden age. Plus Rangers are rubbish. If we can’t be happy now then when?

Go Eagles!

Well said mate teams flying and doing possible the best it can in terms of domestic and Europe. Breaking transfer records in sales and buying yet we still have people moaning. This season Celtic have spent 28 mill on 3 players if we want to add Bernardo and trusty that’s 40 mill. And we’re pulling in brilliant fees for players to. Wee have lost one game outa 7 euro games flying in the league. Apart from the big jock era Celtic fans have never had it so good.

The "Kyogo is a rat' comment slayed me. Puts the fanatic back in fan.

27 Jan 2025 09:54:06
Why were ange tierney and brendan rats but kyogo isn't? It's a question that no one hasn't answered yet.

27 Jan 2025 03:50:13
Listen? Everyone is entitled to their opinion! I love Donald Trump. Absolutely true! Does that make me a bad person/ bad Celtic fan/ bad Catholic? of course not! I would never try and tell anyone their politics. Don't try and tell me mine! My whole point being, we all have different views. Embrace them and let's move on together!

{Ed007's Note - I hate to break it to you but if you support Trump there is no way you are a good/nice person - quite the opposite in fact - and whether it makes you a bad Catholic is a matter of opinion.

27 Jan 2025 10:32:49
Two wrongs don’t make a right.

None of the above including Kyogo are rats and it’s poor that some fans would describe them that way.

But that’s how you feel and you got it off your chest but you were constantly calling him a rat and that’s OTT.

27 Jan 2025 11:42:01
To b fair DC a didn't read much about Ange being a rat KT and BR yes but a think personally that's down to them claiming to be big Celtic supporters were as other 2 didnt, really only explanation a can cum up with mate, A was all for BR cumn back same as Ange if that ever happens but not KT but that's only doen to injuries and getting exposed in Europe not leaving.

27 Jan 2025 12:10:19
Its a good question, I dare say, Dc7591. When applied pejoratively to a person, 'rat' means something like a dishonest, contemptible, or worthless person, especially someone who is deceitful or disloyal. The latter part of this, which dates back to 16th century, apparently, as in 'love-rat. '

BR was thought to have been deceitful and disloyal in the manner in which he left the first time; and Ange might be accused of being somewhat dishonest about it. Kyogo, on the other hand, probably had an agreement in place to leave since he signed his last contract; and certainly since the summer. He's behaved with remarkable integrity and professionalism since then, I'd suggest, regardless of what you may think about his scoring record.

What do you reckon?

{Ed007's Note - So forcing a move in the January window while we have a CL match to play is "behaved with remarkable integrity and professionalism"? Kyogo & his agent have ripped the proverbial pish out of the Club and the fans for months.

27 Jan 2025 12:18:44
God, is no-one allowed to move teams now? I suppose we won't be buying anyone as they'll be rats too? Imaging leaving your old team to come to Celtic, what a rat! The people saying this have never moved jobs?

It was hardly a bolt out the blue that Kyogo wanted away, so if contingency plans haven't been made that's not the boy's fault. Some people need to grow up and put things in perspective.

{Ed007's Note - So supporters can hurl abuse at players like Scales and Taylor but the some get upset about calling a player a rat - a player that's slinked away mid season with a vital CL games still to play and chasing a treble to fight relegation in France
Dc is spot on, it's double standards, I used to slag my teenage neice off about the way she went on about Take That, a lot of the Celtic support have their own version, Kyogo, CalMac, CCV - even KT's done a Robbie Williams and allowed back in the band - that you simply can't say anything against - it's even the managers fault Kyogo misses so many sitters, it was Rodgers system that made him miss open goals from 2 yards.

27 Jan 2025 12:48:18
We had a great example of "forcing a move" recently: Adam Idah. Kyogo has done none of that bollocks: instead, he's played every game, to the best of his ability. Don't think anyone is disputing that.

If there was an actual agreement in place that he would leave (if, for instance, the contract was to ensure the maximum sell-on value, as many of us suspected at the time; or if he has broached the matter in the previous window but waited until now to actually go) then Celtic can have no complaints whatsoever. I'm not really hearing any, from Rodgers or otherwise. I don't really see any reason to impugn the man's character. In an industry where a three year tenure is normal, yeah, Kyogo's been as good a Celt as many.

If his behavior is suspected, then everyone who leaves is a rat. It just ain't so.

27 Jan 2025 12:58:32
Let's all remember that news broke quite literally as soon as we had qualified for the next round: no doubt that was part of the agreement reached with Kyogo and his agent, which they would seem to have honoured impeccably.

{Ed007's Note - The agreement was Kyogo would leave in the summer so he didn't honour anything, impeccably or otherwise. Why would Celtic agree to sell one of their top players in the January window unless the player is forcing the move, why did MOR not end up in Atalanta last January even though he was open to the move and his agent had all but agreed the contract?

27 Jan 2025 12:58:36
DC, being honest, I'm Celtic to the core but if I was at a level perceived by top clubs down south as worth taking a punt on, I, like KT, BR would also have moved. It's all about bettering yourself. I don't blame them at all for moving. But for anyone to call them Rats is bang out of order.

27 Jan 2025 13:21:19
Ha ha Celticmad you have a pop at me for my "sarcasm" and tongue in cheek posts then you tell us all you "like Trump"
I know a good counselling service which could help you, but then again there is NO HOPE FOR ANYONE WHO LIKES TRUMP.

27 Jan 2025 14:16:32
Each to his or her own, but personally, I find describing any Celtic player or manager as a rodent, very poor.

The justification for which is presumably what someone believes is the story/ reason for that individual leaving Celtic FC when infact, in the vast majority of cases, we have no idea what the real story is.

It might sound like a crazy idea but how about referring to our
current or past players/ managers with respect? ?

☘️ ? ☘️.

27 Jan 2025 14:44:22
You can offer legitimate criticism Ed, but name calling by some fans is out of order. And I agree on the double standards by the way. I've stuck up for Forrest, Taylor, Scales in the past. No celtic player should be subject to that.

Fans greetin and calling names because they have to get rid of their Kyogo duvet covers is well out of order.

27 Jan 2025 15:00:10
Kyogo still gave us IMO ? Even though he wanted away that's all I think anyone could ask for I wish him all the best in his professional career and his personal life.

27 Jan 2025 21:46:24
Well now that's he's officially away we can move on and support the players that are here to lead us on to a treble and hopefully a place in the last 16 of the champions league.
