Just read a good article on the outgoing Chairman of Spurs, Daniel Levy in today's Guardian. The final paragraph more than resonates with our own situation at Celtic. Here it is:
"But a football club is not just a commercial enterprise. At some point the actual football matters. Some may even argue it's the point. And on that, Levy scores rather less highly. "
I feel our club are overly focused on financial results and commercial activity. Of course, you must have a good commercial set up and good financial results. but you must remember the football!
I feel at Celtic we to have got the balance wrong. Levy and his family, as have the majority owners ENIC done very well financially from spurs. But are their fans happy? That's a no.
Sound familiar?

Didnt someone on here say recently that Commercial Manager left and took a couple of his colleagues with him and that he hasn't been replaced?
On the face of it Celtic don't seem to be world class in a lot of areas.
Time for a major reset on and off the park.

We have the financial aspect spot on we need to get the football side right. To do that do we need a new a manager who has different ideas on how the game should be played?

Going forward we will not only require a new coach/ manager, that is just rinse and repeat, we need so much more.
To fix the problem properly, everything connected to the footballing side of things inc;- coaching, scouting, player signings, Lennoxtown etc, requires a structure, starting with a director of footballing operations down to the coaches of the kids teams.
So, replacing BR without implementing the above, is merely putting a plaster on it.

We had the transfer issues before Brendan, so he is not the cause of the boards recruitment inadequacies.

Maeda saying he agreed a deal to leave but club pulled the rug.
I can bet he has been told to wait until January like Kyogo.
Another happy pkayer.

I never knew anything about that, but it could explain his drastic drop in form these past few weeks.
Another self inflicted blow that could derail our season.

Celtic had 8 months to replace Furuhashi, how long will it take Celtic Directors etc to replace Brendan Rodgers, when they knew he was there on a 3 year contract.

When Jota resigned it looked as though Maeda was earmarked as a rewdy made replacement. Maeda has said himself he is a striker. Now we have 2 new wingers and Jota still to return so for me the club see Maeda as the first choice striker. That's my take on it anyway.

Pedro, I believe Celtic are usually very quick getting their man to become the replacement Manager . Even though they were strung along by Eddie Howe and thankfully he finally said no and we got Ange instead, a far better choice .

It’s strange Bhoy88 that our Board has been criticised at length for having the balance wrong, to much interest in the commercial side of the business instead of on football side . The Board heeded this alleged unbalance and allowed the commercial side of Company to downsize, whilst increasing the football side by addition of Head of Recruitment.
Impossible to believe members of the “sack the Board” group are not happy . WHAT DO THEY WANT.
